Well maybe its not really in the wild, but its in Canada! A couple new photos of the “unreleased” highly secret BlackBerry Storm 9550 for TELUS have leaked. The photos show the CDMA model 9550, sporting EVDO and Wi-Fi, not HSPA like some were hoping. Still no word on when this device is launching, but if you head to nearly any TELUS store you will notice the Storm2 ads inside. We can only assume it will be launching within the next few weeks (maybe November 24th?). Anyway so final confirmation says TELUS will be launching the 9550, not 9520, and it will be running OS 5.0.0.320. Keep checking back for more details when we get them.

There you go! CrackBerry has just completed the first hands-on of the unreleased BlackBerry code-named Onyx. The Onyx has been talked about for a few months now. It’s NOT the touchscreen QWERTY BlackBerry, but rather a more traditional device featuring a 3G radio with Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3.2 megapixel camera. Its expected that this model may actually become part of the Tour family joining the CDMA 9630.

Here is a list of known features:

3G device – GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS (Bands: 850, 900, 1800, 1900)

480 by 360 display, beveled edges

256 megabytes of internal memory (same as Curve 8900, 8520)

1550mAh M-S1 battery (same as Bold)

3.2 megapixel camera, with flash and auto focus

GPS and Wi-Fi

At this time the processor speed isn’t exactly known but its expected to be a little faster than the Bold’s 624MHz one. No ETA as to when this device will be released, but stay tuned for more details coming within the next little bit.

Meet the latest BlackBerry to obtain a code-name! This is BlackBerry Aries which is also modeled the 8530. It happens to be the CDMA counterpart to the Gemini which was shown a month or so ago. Like the 8530, “Aries” will be a lower end model featuring the new optical trackpad, full QWERTY keyboard, soft rubber back, dedicated play/pause keys on the top and most likely Wi-Fi. Because it runs CDMA technology its expected you will see this model end up on Verizon, Sprint, Bell and Telus. No word on a launch date as of yet, but most likely you will see it later Summer (think Back to School).

Here’s an interesting BlackBerry rumor for the day. BGR is reporting that Verizon may be getting ready to launch the Storm 2 as early as this month. This rumor seems to have angred a lot of readers and rightfully so. The tipster at BGR claims that intel shows Verizon either has or will start training staff for the Storm 2 ASAP wiht a launch either sometime this month or June at the latest. What do you think about this? Does it make sense for Verizon to launch another Storm so soon? We don’t think so here but who knows it wouldn’t be the first stupid thing Verizon has done.

BGR scored some great tips about upcoming launches on Verizon Wireless for BlackBerry devices. Apparently the Pearl Flip 8230 will be launching almost anytime (June at the latest) followed by the BlackBerry Tour 9630. The tipster also claims that (take a deep breath) Verizon will be launching another model to go along with the 9630 called Atlas, which will feature Wi-Fi. We aren’t too sure on that rumor yet but stay tuned. Apparently any BlackBerry models launched after the Tour (see Storm 2) will include Wi-Fi. The Storm 2, which has been floating around the internet will apparently feature Wi-Fi as well, plus some sort of new touch screen (most likely still with some clicking to it). Watch out for more details as they arrive…

We presume he’s talking about Wi-Fi then? and scraping everyone’s favorite Surepress touchscreen? Interesting… I didn’t think that RIM would have an official comment on the “Storm 2″ but there you go. The employee also goes on to say that RIM may not go towards an exclusive deal with just Vodafone this time and open it up for all to get. He also points out that RIM may release the “Storm 2″ near the end of this year or early next.

What do you think the new Storm 2 should feature?

A new rumor is floating around that RIM is getting set to release a full episode TV service for BlackBerry, meaning you can watch your favorite TV shows on the go. Apparently the service will only run via Wi-Fi to downloads the video which leaves CDMA users in the dark. Apparently RIM could be announcing the new TV service as early as April 1st during CTIA 2009. The service is expected to be a monthly fee and will provide access to unlimited downloads. What do you think? Are you up for BlackBerry TV?

P.S. The image above is just a image of the Bold playing video. Not the TV Service.

CrackBerry has shown us the first live pictures of the heavely rumored BlackBerry Niagara. In case you don’t know what “Niagara” is it’s going to be the CDMA Bold/Curve combonation featuring a CDMA/EVDO Rev. A Radio with 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS and of course a full QWERTY keyboard. Apparently RIM might have cut plans to include Wi-Fi in this bad boy. The Niagara looks to be a mix of both the BlackBerry Bold and Curve 8900 “Javelin” to swing a bit of both worlds in there.

Two questions: Will RIM call this the Bold 9630? and who wants one even without Wi-Fi?
