Our friends at Viigo have just introduced a new lighter version of their popular app for BlackBerry. The purpose of Viigo’s new ViigoNews App is for those who don’t use all of it’s the in-depth features. You grab ViigoNews by pointing your BlackBerry browser to http://getviigo.com/news.

I know myself I will be using ViigoNews as I really only use Viigo for RSS feeds. I don’t need to extra Twitter, Weather, etc. Anyway which version of Viigo will you use? Original or News?

Viigo is strongly recommending an upgrade to v3.1.330 for all BlackBerry users, it fixes a number of performance issues. It’s very important to upgrade your apps and software to any available updates for best performatnce on your BlackBerry. There’s a reason why they become available to you, please make sure you do this.

It’s FREE and it’s Viigo, our favorite app to turn to for several reasons, make your BlackBerry and yourself happy and upgrade now. You will be able to upgrade it here from your phone.

A new version of the Viigo Alpha available for the BlackBerry has been updated and it’s added somme new things to its repertoir. The colors are brighter, it has all the great features you came to rely on, but also Audio and Podcasts, Shopping, Deals, and Social Networks have been added as well.

In Audio and Podcasts you have the choice of: Our Faves; Viigo Recommends; Arts; Books and Literature; Business and Money; Comedy; Education; Entertainment; Food; Games and Hobbies; Government and Organizations; Health; Kids and Family; Music; News and Media; Religion and Spirituality; Sci-Fi; Science; Society and Culture; Sports; Storytelling; Technology; Television and Movies; and Travel.

In Shopping there is: BPlay; Mobile Applications: Mobihand; Mobile Software and the other features like tracking packages. In Deals: Gazaro: Latest Deals; Hottest Deals; Browse By Store (6th Ave, Amazon, Best Buy, Dell, New Egg, OfficeDepot, Overstock, and Walmart to name a few); Browse By Category. In Social Networks: Twitter; FriendFeed; Jaiku; Indenti.ca.

I’ve downloaded it and been using it, and it’s running pretty smoothly. As with any Alpha and Beta product, there may be bugs, so please be kind and help by letting Viigo know in Feedback section if you download and install and find any bugs. Feedback helps them make it better for everyone.

It’s no secret one of my favorite and most used BlackBerry Apps is Viigo. With that being said I’m pleased to announce that the BlackBerry Sync RSS feed is now featured in the Viigo library of feeds. The guys at Viigo introduced a new Alpha version of Viigo which brings tons of new features! This verison (3.1.242) finally brings Podcast support along with Social Networking (Twitter, FriendFeed, Jaiku and Identi.ca). Viigo also introduced a new premium feature called Pageonce which will require a registeration key to work. This version is Viigo even though is very early seems to support most models including Bold, Curve, Pearl and Storm. Enjoy!

If you know me I’m addicted to two things my BlackBerry and Viigo. Viigo keeps me updated with all my RSS feeds plus weathers, stocks, sports and tons more. Anyways they just sent me an email to let me know they’ve released a new version (Build 3.0.856) for the BlackBerry Storm. Apparently it improves overall stability, performance and usabillity plus adds the new shopping service and the ability to add tweet articles right on your BB. Viigo has finally launched a public beta of their new Viigo. In case your not familiar with Viigo its a great RSS reader for your BlackBerry. The new beta brings unseen features such as weather forecasts, sports scores, stock tracker and game downloads. You can grab a copy of the new beta at getviigo.com/beta on your BlackBerry device.
