Upgrade Alert: BBWeather v0.85 Is Released, Upgrade Your Favorite Weather App!

3_bbweather_1[1]

I can always tell that there are upgrades in the air, my BlackBerry starts hourglassing more than normal and I get frustrated doing more battery pulls. The other day I received the error while trying to pull up my BBWeather, “Missing XOAP ’link’”. I just deleted the app, but relieved they announced an upgrade to save my favorite weather app.

Thanks to Ronen, at BerryReview.com, who posted about the upgraded version 0.85 that is released. This is one of my fave apps because it’s accurate, I can see five day forecasts, and look on my desktop to see the current conditions outside, but best of all, it’s FREE! You can pick up OTA the released  BBWeather upgrade from the tateu website here. What is your favorite weather BlackBerry app? Please share, we’re curious which ones are the most popular and why.

How To Install A Theme on your BlackBerry

blackberry

You finally find a theme you like, one you have to have, and you’re ready to install it. I remember when I found the Matrix, I was so thrilled! There are different types of themes out there.  I’m going to go through the ways of installing two types of themes: OTA and as a zip through the BlackBerry Desktop Manager via the PC.  The very first and easiest type of file is one that is called OTA or Over The Air. You can follow a link by text or go to a website that offers themes, or even by email and download the theme. For good measure after it’s downloaded and installed, I do a battery pull and then I go to Options>Theme and from there I scroll to my new theme and I tap the trackball. Start to back up, and it will take some time as the theme starts.
