Another Hands-On with the Unreleased BlackBerry Pearl 9100

A lot of people (including myself) are patiently waiting for the release of the next generation Pearl smartphone. A site called Tecnomovida had some time to spend hands-on with RIM’s unreleased BlackBerry Pearl 9100. It’s not the first or even second time we’ve seen pictures of this device leak one, and honestly we’re sitting back waiting for it to launch any day now. Actual Shots of BlackBerry OS 6.0 Leaked Out?

For the past few months we’ve heard a lot of rumblings about RIM’s upcoming OS 6.0. All signs point to a completely new OS for RIM that make them “comparable” to other smartphones on the market. Well early this morning shots leaked out of what could be RIM’s next OS (version 6.0), and it feels like Android on steroids. By looking at the pics it seems that the home screen will feature many integrations with social networking, email, and rss feeds.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS 5.0.0.545 Officially Released!

It seems that .545 for the Bold 9700 was just leaked last week, and now Vodafone UK has officially released it. This means that Vodafone UK has released what seems to be an awesome OS update for the Bold 9700. I’ve been using .545 myself and so far I’m pretty impressed with it. Keep in mind you don’t have to be a Vodafone customer to get access to this OS, all you have to do is simply remove the vendor.xml file.

Happy updating!

Viira For BlackBerry Updates To v2.1, Adding Delegate, Navigate With Shortcuts, And More!

Viira is by Karta Mobile, Inc and basically it’s an app that follows the train of thought of GTD and Getting Things Done by the David Allen Company. I have reviewed the app, and it’s a great organizer and management app. Now with the added features, it’s even more organized and will help you manage tasks even more efficiently. What’s new?

BerryBuzz For BlackBerry Has Been Updated To v2.2.11 With Backup and Restore To Micro SD Support!

I really love BerryBuzz by Bellshare GmbH. It’s a program that adds color alerts to various messages, allowing you to choose the color and how often. I have some pics to share but I’m glad with the updates because even though it doesn’t say support for 5.0, it seems to be working even better on my Tour. What’s new?

Shoot It!: A Fun BlackBerry App For Sending Personalized Postcards

Shoot It! is an awesome BlackBerry application I discovered a few months ago. It provides a simple and inexpensive way to send photos from your BlackBerry through the mail in the form of a real postcard, from anywhere in the world.

I know, I know… It’s 2010, who sends real mail anymore? With all the convenience technology has brought us, it has also taken away the personal touch that is sometimes necessary. I use Shoot It! to send pictures of my children to my mother, 5000 miles away. She gets a nice glossy photo, a personal message, and a reminder that we love and miss her, and all it costs me is about $1 and a few minutes of my time.

So, how does it work?
