Al Sacco over at CIO has just shown us quite possibly the World’s most expensive BlackBerry available to date. It’s a diamond encrusted BlackBerry Curve 8900 ringing in at approximately $240,000 USD. This diamond BlackBerry is designed by Alexander Amosu and features solid 18-carat yellow gold and encrusted with 4,459 diamonds (weighing 28.43 carats). Gosh it seems like forever (October 08′) since we first saw Gizmodo’s photo of an AT&T branded Curve 8900. Tons of rumors later AT&T officially announced the release of the new Curve. According to them it will launch this Friday (May 22nd) for $199 with two year term. Keep your eyes peeled to AT&T’s website for the official launch. Any AT&T customers out there finally happy to be getting a piece of the “Javelin” action??

BGR just got word from his ninjas that AT&T will finally be releasing the long awaited BlackBerry Curve 8900 this June! This is good news for anyone waiting to replace their Curve, however lets forget about the Curve 8900 and hope for a Gemini varriant. Any who no word on pricing yet for the Curve 8900 but the tipster says it should be available this June. Stay tuned for more info…

Any AT&T’ers out there waiting for the Curve 8900??

I was browsing OtterBox’s website last night only to discover that they have listed the Defender Case for Curve 8900 as coming soon. If you don’t know about OtterBox cases they are a highly durable, great impact case. OtterBox cases feature three layers of protection and a classic but durable plastic holster. Pricing is expected to be around $49.95 with a launch coming very soon. The 8900 Defender case should be available on both OtterBox.com and the BlackBerry Sync Store soon.

BlackBerry OS 5.0 is yet to be leaked on to the internet, but RIM has been busy testing it away on many of their current lineup. A fan over at CrackBerry managed to take a video showing off a version of OS 5.0 running on a BlackBerry Curve 8900. Apparently most BlackBerry devices including the Bold, Curve 8900 and the unreleased 9630 should all see their OS’ updated to 5.0. So stay tuned in the upcoming months for those to start getting leaked ;) then officially released.

Wow this has been the most action packed Saturday in a while. Here is another shot of the BlackBerry Niagara 9630 only this time its up and running! Those of your on CDMA networks like Verizon, Sprint, Telus or Bell will have to wait a bit longer for this device to launch, but until then here is some hands-on action from CrackBerry. Enjoy!

Update: Apparently the phone was sold on eBay this morning for just under $2,000 USD.

Kevin from CrackBerry has just obtained a couple new shots of the un-released CDMA BlackBerry code-named Niagara. If you don’t know about “Niagara” its the Bold/Curve 8900 crossover, which is expected to launch on most CDMA networks in North America later on this year. Finally we got to see the device up close including shots of the back. One thing I’m sad about is they decided not to put the leather back on this like the Bold. Maybe that will change?

CrackBerry has shown us the first live pictures of the heavely rumored BlackBerry Niagara. In case you don’t know what “Niagara” is it’s going to be the CDMA Bold/Curve combonation featuring a CDMA/EVDO Rev. A Radio with 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS and of course a full QWERTY keyboard. Apparently RIM might have cut plans to include Wi-Fi in this bad boy. The Niagara looks to be a mix of both the BlackBerry Bold and Curve 8900 “Javelin” to swing a bit of both worlds in there.

Two questions: Will RIM call this the Bold 9630? and who wants one even without Wi-Fi?
