A new picture has surfaced of what is being called BlackBerry “Gemini” 8325. It’s a cross between the two Curve series 8300 and 8900. The Gemini is rumored to feature OS 5.0 with a 320×240 high resolution display, Quadband GSM/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and possibly N, 2.0 megapixel camera (ew really?) and of course the [...]

A new picture has surfaced of what is being called BlackBerry “Gemini” 8325. It’s a cross between the two Curve series 8300 and 8900. The Gemini is rumored to feature OS 5.0 with a 320×240 high resolution display, Quadband GSM/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and possibly N, 2.0 megapixel camera (ew really?) and of course the Curve’ s full QWERTY keyboard. It’s expected that this will be the first device to launch with OS 5.0 sometime later this year. Basically it seems that its just a slightly updated Curve 8320 is a flasher body.

I really hope they decide to put a 3G radio in this thing…

Thanks to the latest round of spy shots, those of you who were concerned you wouldn’t be able to get your hands on a BlackBerry Storm unless you went to Big Red (aka Verizon) have been saved. Apparently RIM will be releasing a European only model of the Storm with GSM/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA only. This model will be simply just BlackBerry Storm 9500. Check the full specs of the 9500:

7.2 mbps HSDPA/UMTS (2100/1900/850 MHz)

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

1GB of memory, 192MB RAM

1400 mAhr battery. Standby time: 528 hours

MicroUSB port

MicroSD and MicroSDHC expandable up to 8GB

3.2 megapixel camera, flash, 2.5x digital zoom, auto focus, and image stabilization

Video capture. Normal mode (480×320) and MMS mode (176×144)

Assisted GPS – Enhanced version of GPS that performs at a faster speed

This means you should be able to unlock the BlackBerry 9500 and use it on other carriers such as Rogers, Fido, T-Mobie and AT&T. Anyone really excited now??

First it was a unreleased BlackBerry Bold, now its a unreleased BlackBerry Javlein that the folks over at CrackBerry got their hands on. The BlackBerry Javelin will be pretty much the Curve replacement. It will not be a 3G smartphone, but will sport a 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, 256MB onboard internal memory, micro USB connection, high resolution display, Wi-Fi and a much thinner design.

The Javelin also features a new battery door latch which you’ll notice in some of the pictures. Here’s a quick run down of Javelin’s key features:

Quad-band radios: GSM/GPRS/EDGE (no 3G)

Wi-Fi b/g with UMA + GPS in one

OS 4.6.1, featuring Safe Mode start up

480 by 360 high-res HVGA+ display

512 MHz Processor

256 MB onboard flash memory (more room for apps)

Hot-swappable microSD slot – located under the battery door

3.2MP camera

Micro USB charging/syncing port, w/ high speed data

You should expect to see RIM announce the BlackBerry Javelin within the next few months. Making it just in time for Christmas this year… I should remind everyone that this device will feature a QWERTY keyboard. Kevin simply managed to get himself a french version of the device (azerty).
