custom-curve8900

You remember Colorware? It’s the site where you can give not only your BlackBerry, but tons of other devices a custom paint job. Well generally the custom paint job for a BlackBerry costs around $159 USD, and you have to send it to them. Well Colorware has introduced a parts only service for those feeling curious. Basically Colorware’s parts only service means you buy the pieces, and they’ll ship them to you for you to install. Currently the Parts Only service is available only for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 at a cost of $99 USD.

curve-8900-white

Looks like AT&T may be getting ready to launch a white colored BlackBerry Curve 8900 soon. This is the first we’ve heard or seen of a White 8900, but it would only make sense. A new tip received over at BGR shows the White 8900 in an AT&T advertisement. The tipster didn’t have any release dates, or pricing, but I’m sure we can except it to launch soon. So question for you the readers… What do you think of the new White BlackBerry models? First the Bold, now the Curve.

A look at iSkin’s for the BlackBerry Bold, Curve 8900 and Storm

iskin-bb-overview

iSkin has been known to design some really nice iPhone cases, but now they’ve expanded their lineup by introducing cases for BlackBerry. iSkin has introduced the Vibe series for the BlackBerry Bold, Curve 8900, and Storm. Unfortunately no love for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 or Curve 8520 just yet. We’ve been checking out these cases for the past few weeks and so far we’re very impressed! They fit like a glove, and are designed to protect for sure. Included in the packaging is both the skin and a mirrored screen protector for maximum protection and privacy.

A New Round of OS 5.0 leaks! Including BlackBerry Bold, Curve 8900, Storm 9530, and Tour 9630!

bbthreadedsms

Like myself I’m sure we’ve all been waiting for a new round of OS 5.0 leaks… Well today I’m proud to announce that new OS’ have been leaked for the BlackBerry Bold 9000, Curve 8900, Storm 9530 and Tour 9630!! This is the first leak we’ve seen for the BlackBerry Tour and we’ve glad its finally here. Apparently this Tour OS (.140) is old and buggy now, so as much as you might want to install it, maybe wait for a newer version. The leaked OS for the Curve 8900 and Bold (.190) are brand new and freshly released internally. Apparently .190 for both the Bold and Curve 8900 sport the new threaded SMS feature!

Follow the links below to download any of the OS versions, however please remember these OS’ have NOT been officially released by RIM. Many applications may not work on your device, it’s recommended you do a full backup before installing.

  • OS 5.0.0.190 for BlackBerry Bold 9000 – Download
  • OS 5.0.0.190 for BlackBerry Curve 8900 – Download
  • OS 5.0.0.154 for BlackBerry Storm 9530 – Download
  • OS 5.0.0.140 for BlackBerry Tour 9630 – Download

If you’ve installed any of these OS’ please post a comment below and let us know how it is :)

The BlackBerry Speaker Test – Comparing Tour, Bold, Storm, Curve 8900

Here is a great video which Ronen from BerryReview found. This video compares all the latest BlackBerry models (Curve 8900, Bold, Storm 9530, and Tour 9630) and their speakers to see which one sounds the best. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video quite like this, the creator rates them side by side using the same music demo. It appears that the Bold may still have the best speaker, followed by the hot new Tour. Check out the video for youself and let us know what you think…
