Unfortunately it won’t be to keep just yet. Verizon Wireless is holding events in select USA cities where you can actually test out a Storm 9530 and have free food while your at it. The events start in Omaha, NE on October 28th and finish November 20th in Milwaukee, WI. Now if only we could squeeze an actual release date out of them… hmm…
Take this one with a grain of salt! But a rumor is floating around that Telus will be getting a CDMA BlackBerry Bold by the end of this year. Usually the folks at MobileSyrup are on point when they report this kind of stuff, however at this time we do not believe that RIM has any plans for a CDMA Bold this year. Maybe next year. Maybe not at all. At this time the only BlackBerry that Telus should be getting this year will be RIM’s first touch screen smartphone the BlackBerry Storm 9530.
Anyways its just a little rumor that was posted online and we thought we would share it with you…
Anyone remember the BlackBerry Niagara? It was suppose to be following “Javelin” as a CDMA verison for Verizon for sometime next year. My question is what ever happened to this device? It seems with all the Storm, Javelin and Pearl Flip news lately this one may have slipped under the radar. Read More
So as you may or may not know VZW show their employees today a sneak preview of the BlackBerry Storm. The Storm has been named by Verizon to “Take the World by Storm” and will be RIM’s first ever touch screen smartphone. The good folks over at CrackBerry managed to score the actual internal video that VZW employees saw. The sound quailty is a little poor but check it out:
UPDATE: Here is a copy of VZW’s Minute with Mike video in higher quality.

Internal Document of Talking Points for BlackBerry Storm:
US Cellular is the first carrier in the United States to launch OS 4.5 for the CDMA Curve 8330 and Pearl 8130. They have launched OS 4.5.0.66 for both units and its now available for download on USC’s BlackBerry download page. Keep in mind you don’t have to have a USC BlackBerry you can find details on how to install it here.
Great news has just arrived from the Boy Genius! It seems that the BlackBerry Storm 9530 (formally known as Thunder) has been moved into Technical Acceptance by Verizon. This means that usually devices in this process are 3-4 weeks away. However the device may be delayed internally by RIM for an additional 3-4 weeks. This will give them enough time to work out all of the kinks (ie. the touch screen) but with any luck at all we may see it sometime in November.
That’s right! Get your hands on it before it disappears. Berry Review’s Ninjas seem to have found copies of RIM’s unreleased OS 4.5.0.77 for both the CDMA BlackBerry 8830 and Curve 8330. Apparently this version of the OS fixes the small delay of answering voice calls noticed in 4.5.0.66.
Here are the download links (they may stop working soon):
* Please note while these OS verisons are not officially supported by RIM. We don’t recommend installing them if you have never installed a beta OS before. Neither Us, Berry Review nor RIM take any responsibility to damage caused to your phone while installing this software.
Ok let me start this off with NO we don't have any official news on this. However wouldn't it make sense for RIM to release a CDMA Javelin? Just think the Curve is the latest BlackBerry CDMA smartphone and next up will be the Thunder which some people will love and some will hate. What about the QWERTY keyboard people? They need love too…
This got me wondering this morning will RIM launch a CDMA Bold or Javelin after the Thunder?
(In case you don't know what CDMA is it's the technology that Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, US Cellular, TELUS and Bell all use.)
That's right folks an anonymous tipster has sent us shots of the highly anticipated BlackBerry Thunder. The Thunder also known as BlackBerry 9500 will feature a huge 360×480 touch display and will apparently run on OS 4.7. This device will be a great multimedia player and could bring CDMA carriers true iPhone competition. The Thunder will run a carrier music store which similar to the iPhone's iTunes store and will allow users to purchase songs from their device. The display on the Thunder most likely will be a glass surface similar to the iPhone. Click on over for another shot… Read More
Sprint has confirmed that their BlackBerry Curve 8330, in dark grey will be available sometime this month (not May or June as previously reported). Engadget took a look into it and confirmed it with Sprint.
