Sprint Curve 8330 ads appear in Sunday papers!

Sprint Curve 8330

Sprint has been advertising their BlackBerry Curve 8330 in a lot of American newspapers on Sunday. It's showing the Curve "coming soon" for $179.99 with contract after rebates. One interesting bit about this ad is that it shows two colors available (Titanium and Red). So most likely we will see Sprint's Curve available this week.

Pink BlackBerry Curve coming to Canada soon…

We just received a tip from a reliable tipster that a Pink colored BlackBerry Curve 8330 will soon be hitting the Canadian streets. The tipster didn't point which direction (Bell or TELUS) the Pink Curve will be heading but if it follows the exclusive TELUS launch of the Pink Pearl for Breast Cancer then we might just see it there. The tipster says it will launch most likely within the next 30 days.

Thanks Riko!

RIM’s looking to hire an iPhone developer?

Apparently RIM has an internal posting for a developer with knowledge of Apple's iPhone. We aren't too sure what this means yet. Either RIM is looking to hire a developer to develop a touchscreen BlackBerry to take on the iPhone or they might bring BlackBerry Connect to the iPhone…

We aren't too sure yet but hopefully we will get more details soon.

All the BlackBerry 9000 rumors get washed up

BlackBerry 9000

The Boy Genius has gone on record to clean up all those BlackBerry 9000 rumors. The Financial Post wrote an article claiming that a RIM spokesperson confirmed the upcoming 9000 device will not have any battery issues. According to the post the spokesperson said the 9000's reviewed were prototypes and that the "power management is usually turned off to "help with debugging" feature is usually turned off so users can debug the device.

So apparently the BlackBerry 9000, which will pack 3G with Wi-Fi and a 624MHz Intel processor won't suffer from any battery issues! We'd be really impressed if that's the case.

Mexican official fired after stealing White House BlackBerry’s

A mexican press official has been fired after he stole six or so BlackBerry devices from a meeting in New Orleans. The BlackBerry devices belonged to officials who were meeting with President Bush. Apparently in high level meeting such as this is a common practice for members to leave all devices on a table. Secret Service was notified the devices were missing and found the press member at the airport with the devices.

Also Fox News being so smart quoted "Whether he was up to no good or simply desperate to play BrickBreaker…" which I thought was kind of funny and made me wonder what this guy was really looking for??
