BlackBerry Curve 8530 Announced, Heading to Sprint & Verizon

Look what came out of hiding! The BlackBerry Curve 8530 has just been announced officially by RIM. Not too long after it was announced we saw press releases from both Verizon and Sprint, in the United States. The new Curve 8530 sports a newer style body, with trackpad navigation, Wi-Fi, dedicated music keys and GPS. Sprint is yet to announce pricing or a release date, however Verizon says they will be launching it on November 20th for $99.99 with contract, after rebates.

Bell launches HSPA Network – BlackBerry Bold 9000 & 9700 Now Available

Bell has officially rolled out their new HSPA network across Canada, and with that launch came two new BlackBerry smartphones. Bell has launched the classic BlackBerry Bold 9000, as well the new Bold 9700. Both should be available in stores starting today. Pricing starts $249 with three year term for the Bold 9000, and $229 with three year term for the Bold 9700. Something seems a little odd with the Bold 9000 pricing, as its listed higher than the new Bold. Stay tuned we’re looking into that. Meanwhile check out all the details and plans at Bell.ca.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 Now Available from Rogers!

As you may know all three major Canadian networks are getting set to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9700 this week. Rogers seems to have jumped on the ship first, being the first network to officially release it. Starting today you pick up the Bold 9700 for $299 with three year term, or $599 without. The new Bold features high resolution display, with full QWERTY keyboard, trackpad navigation, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3.2 megapixel camera, and operates on RIM’s new OS 5.0. REDFLY Mobile Companion Now Available for BlackBerry

Susan first talked about the REDFLY Mobile Compinon a few months ago, and now REDFLY is finally available for BlackBerry. The REDFLY Companion features no OS, storage, or processor. Whatever you see on your BlackBerry is what you will see right on the REDFLY. Each device features a large QWERTY keyboard, with either a 7 or 8-inch display (depending on model). Currently these units are compatible with the BlackBerry Bold 9000, Tour 9630, and Curve 8900. More BlackBerry devices are expected to be supported soon. Starting today you can purchase the REDFLY from Celio’s website. Pricing for their 8-inch model starts at $249 or 7-inch model $199.

BlackBerry Storm2 heading to TELUS – November 24th?

A new rumor has arrived that TELUS will be launching the anticipated BlackBerry Storm2 9550 on November 24th. This would be almost one year on the dot since TELUS first launch the Storm 9530. The new Storm2 will be a new CDMA smartphone, and will not be compatible with their HSPA network, which launches on November 5th. There is no word on pricing yet, but at least we have a rumored release date. Stay tuned for more details when they arrive…

Looks like Rogers might be the first to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9700 in Canada! Tips have started to arrive that a select bunch of Rogers stores have started to receive their Bold 9700 stock. We still haven’t heard officially from Rogers when they plan to launch the device, but we most likely will hear something this week. Apparently pricing is expected to be $299 with three year term, or $599 without contract. So sit back and wait a few more days before the official launch.

Verizon officially announces BlackBerry Storm2 coming October 28th

We don’t know what took them so long, but Verizon finally announced the upcoming release of the BlackBerry Storm2 9550. Verizon says the Storm2 will be landing in stores on October 28th for $179.99 with contract, after mail-in rebates. So all is good and all the Storm chasers out there can finally get their hands-on a Verizon Storm2 later this week. Who’s going to grab one??

Here’s a quick rundown of the key features on the new Storm2:

Verizon BlackBerry Storm2 launches October 28th!

In case you missed the news this week Verizon’s internal blog has been updated, and the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 launches in just a few days. According to the screen shot that CrackBerry received Verizon will be launching the new Storm2 on October 28th. Pricing is expected to be around $179 with contract, after mail-in rebates. So anyone who has their hopes up of getitng a Storm2 before the end of the month… Your odds are good. More details will follow shortly.

TELUS officially announces BlackBerry Bold 9700 is Coming in November

We don’t know why TELUS was a little behind in the news yesterday, but they got around to announcing the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is coming soon. TELUS plans to release the new Bold 9700 with their HSPA network, along side Bell early next month. TELUS joins most of the larger networks in North America with this launch. No pricing or exact release date has been announced as of yet. Rogers is expceted to release this device at $299 with three year term, we imagine TELUS will come in a little cheaper. Stay tuned for us to get more details.
