Ronen from BerryReview posted a great article and quiz on some headlines he ran across on the PentechLetter. It’s a wonderful reminder that while RIM is experiencing a battle, Apple has been where they are. Back in August 6, 1997 Microsoft founder Bill Gates bailed out a struggling Apple with a $150 Million dollar investment. […]
Since the BlackBerry PlayBook launched in April, Mac OS owners have been unable to sync their PlayBook with their computers. Luckily with all the Apple news today, RIM decided to launched BlackBerry Desktop Manager 2.1 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. This latest version brings media sync and backup/restore options for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. If […]
I’ve been on the hunt for cool things to do with my BlackBerry PlayBook. My BlackBerry Bridge is still not working, so I’ve been trying to amuse myself until it gets fixed. Recently I saw that Staples Canada was selling a Bluetooth keyboard designed for the PlayBook, which at the time I thought I would […]
In the last chapter of the ongoing patent battle, a judge had ruled against Kodak in January. But recently the U.S. International Trade Commission stated they would review the judge’s opinion from January. Eastman Kodak is claiming that Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s BlackBerry have violated Kodak’s patent for previewing digital pictures on a smartphone.
Back a year or two ago, BlackBerry and Apple computers didn’t play so nice. But since the launch of the official BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac, RIM has made it quite simple to manage your BlackBerry, including backup/restore, iTunes Sync, add/remove apps, and software updates. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, during a 4th Q earnings call made some comments aimed at the competition over the iPad. And while most of it was directed at Google, the seven inch comment also applied to the PlayBook. Jim Balsillie, Co CEO of RIM, had his response, and it was most fitting. Apples and […]
This is getting to be nearly as entertaining as a reality show. The iPhone has received quite the publicity lately over the “Death Grip” and Apple held a press conference addressing the issue. Steve Jobs also presented a video and stating even a BlackBerry will lose signal when held in certain ways. RIM didn’t take […]

Today I had the opportunity to speak in conference call with Kevin Thomas, Vice President of Business Development of SMobile Systems, and the security concerns of the Apple iPad coming aboard to the Mobile World. There’s a lot of excitement, a lot […]

It’s been covered right here on BBSync, plus can be found in many retail stores across North America. The generous folks […]
I must admit I’m usually not one for posting stuff about other products, such as the iPhone, but this video was just too sweet. It seems a very angry iPhone user decided to take his Beretta 9mm handgun and shoot his iPhone 3 times, then burn it to ensure its dead. The iPhone owner appears […]
