Vodafone Australia & Fiji have just released a new official OS for the Storm 9500. The version is 4.7.0.148 which is the same version released by Verizon last week for their 9530. This OS (.148) is said to be one of the most stable on the market and possibly the late in the builds that RIM will be releasing. Next up OS 5.0! Nothing like kicking off the week with a leaked OS. It seems like its been a while since we saw any leaked software for the BlackBerry Storm 9500, but finally a new leaked one has been found online. The new OS is version 4.7.0.151 and is currently only available for the GSM Storm 9500. If there is any Storm 9530 users out there waiting for .151 to leak stay tuned! It’s just a matter of time.... 

Have you seen Whippoh? It’s another one of those funny apps that you might show off around the office water cooler. This app is designed by Fabian Heuwieser who also designed one of my favorite apps called VibAndRing. Anyways Fabin let it be known on his twitter (@FabinMH) that Whippoh is now available for a free download! Previously this app had cost $1.99 (I believe?) and now its free! So... 

For those of your out there who like having the funny applications for your BlackBerry Storm, I’ve got one for you! It’s called Fingerprint Scanner by Computer Time, CO. Basically it acts like a finger print scanner when you place you finger on the display. It’s great to entertain friends for a few seconds. Please note that this does not actally read your finger print it simply pretends... 

It’s only been about a month since BeeJive released their beta for the BlackBerry Storm and now its been updated to new version 1.9.2. The new version brings several keys features including file transfers and finger swipe navigation. If you’re going to be testing out this new Beta you should realize that its not an official release and simply a public beta. So install it at your own risk. List...

Vodafone UK has just released OS 4.7.0.141 officially for the GSM BlackBerry Storm 9500. So if you have a Storm 9500 you can install this OS on your device. Finally! The folks at BeeJive have just released their early stage beta for the BlackBerry Storm. Unfortunantly the beta version is lacking a few features such as chat logs and file transfering but its great to see their working on it. So if there is any Beejive IM users out there who have been patiently waiting for this release its time for you to check it out! Simply point your Storm’s browser... 

Seems it has been a while since a leaked for the BlackBerry Storm 9500. OS 4.7.0.141 has been leaked for the GSM BlackBerry Storm 9500. We don’t recommend you install this OS unless you have previous experience installing beta leaked operating systems.
