BlackBerry Bold delayed for AT&T until August (Don’t shoot the messneger)

Warning the folks in the United States who are dying for the BlackBerry Bold might not like the following post. The Boy Genius has confirmed from two high up RIM execs that the BlackBerry Bold won't be launching state side until at least mid-August due to issues with battery life and overheating. AT&T has not commented on this issue. 

Now what does that mean for Rogers? Well who knows maybe Rogers will release it anyway with the issues and offer a software update or something… or may RIM will have it fixed before August (this sounds like the 8830 launch delayed story from last year) anyways don't panic just yet.

RIM releases BlackBerry Bold video

RIM has launched a video in their newsletter for the BlackBerry Bold. The video shows off features and the OS. You can check it ouy here. Sadly they didn't give us any release dates or pricing. Guess we will have to wait a bit longer…

Kickstart gets caught in wild next to Bold

So we think its really time RIM releases the BlackBerry Kickstart. The Kickstart is being snapped everywhere and posted online. This time the folks over at BerryShack have got their hands on it and are showing it next to the BlackBerry Bold. They have also given us some confirmed specs:

  • Internal LCD: 240×320
  • External LCD: 160×128
  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • "Next Gen" SureType keyboard
  • 2.0 Megapixel camera
  • 16-bit color LCDs
  • Supports Wi-Fi b,g
  • 3.5mm headset jack
  • Running OS 4.6

THREE Rogers branded Bold’s in one place

This could be a really good sign for Rogers customers. CrackBerry was sent a picture of THREE BlackBerry Bold's in one place at one time. All three units are Rogers branded so hopefully this means a launch is coming real soon. So far we have heard June 25 or July15th.

When is Rogers releasing the Bold? June or July?

First we heard it was July 15th now good ole faithful BGR is reporting Rogers will launch it on June 25th. We are waiting for official confirmation as to when Rogers Wireless will launch the BlackBerry Bold. It almost seems a little too early if Rogers releases the Bold next week or so. Stay tuned for more info…

Rogers to launch BlackBerry Bold on July 15th?

Word on the street is that Rogers Wireless will be launching their BlackBerry Bold on July 15th. This will come just four days after Rogers will release Apple's iPhone. No pricing is still not known for the BlackBerry Bold yet but you can expect it'll cost a little more than the iPhone. Stay tuned for more details when they arrive.

Rogers branded BlackBerry Bold sighted!

Some lucky person got their hands on a live pre-production BlackBerry Bold, but not just any Bold a Rogers branded Bold.
