Two new CDMA BlackBerry devices for 2009

A very interesting article has arrived that indicates there will be two new CDMA Blackberry devices coming in 2009 (code named Niagara and Apex).

The Niagara is essentially the CDMA version of the Bold, which will have styling similar to the BlackBerry Thunder and will be the next generation of the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition. Apex is the CDMA version of the Pearl Flip 8200 Series (Kickstart) that many GSM carriers (such as T-Mobile, Rogers, etc).

We know Rogers will be launching the black colored Pearl 8220 almost anytime, but this image sure does look pink to us. You will also notice pricing will start at $49 with three year contract. Media Sync for Mac is coming soon!

Today’s a good day for Mac users like myself. A recent post in RIM’s Knowledge database (Article KB16003) is showing RIM is getting ready to launch Media Sync for Mac OS X users. It looks like this software is designed for the BlackBerry Pearl 8220, however I’m sure it will work with all models. You might even find it will ship with the 8220? So keep an eye on here for this software as it should be out soon!!

Any luck at all and RIM will launch a Mac verison of Desktop Manager soon enough as well…

Silver BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 is the third color

So far we have seen both Red and Black in RIM’s new BlackBerry Pearl 8220, now RIM will be adding Silver to the collection. Silver brings a very nice professional touch in my opinion. We are not sure who will be launching this new color just yet, but most likely you will see it on both T-Mobile and Rogers.

Run down of what happend at CTIA Fall 2008

Well CTIA Fall 2008 was huge for RIM this fall. We saw tons of press releases, two new BlackBerry models and new services. Unfortunately no sign of the long awaited BlackBerry Javelin or Storm/Thunder but they should come before the years finished.

Here is a run down of what happend at CTIA Fall 2008 starting off with:

- A Look at RIM’s CTIA Fall 2008 booth

- Introducing the iDEN BlackBerry Curve 8350i for Sprint-Nextel

- Introducing the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220

- Meet the Red colored Pearl Flip 8220

- RIM and TiVo partner up to bring TiVo control on BlackBerry

- RIM and Windows Live Search come to BlackBerry

- MySpace and Ticketmaster also join BlackBerry apps

- Slacker Personal Radio coming to BlackBerry

So overall it was a great success and I’m sure there is more to come before 2008 is done.

Live shots – BlackBerry Pearl 8220 in Red

CrackBerry and friends have got some live shots of the newly announced BlackBerry Pearl 8220. One of the colors coming for T-Mobile USA is this dark red color. It’s a fairly nice shade of red similar to the Red Curve. Other colors. If you don’t like the red T-Mobile will also be launching it in black. Anyways the pics come from CTIA Fall 2008, which is going on in San Fransisco this week. You can see the whole gallery over at CrackBerry.
