BlackBerry Storm 2 Rumored Release Dates!

blackberry-9520-5-500x333

Ronen from BerryReview has just posted some updates to the Storm 2 launch for both Verizon and Vodafone. Apparently Vodafone UK will be launching the Storm 2 (9520) on October 15th (just a few days away!), followed by Verizon launching the Storm 2 (9520) on October 25th or so. Now Ronen also goes on to say that he received a tip that RIM will not be launching the 9520, the 3G version of the Storm 2 in the USA. With any luck we might see the 9520 hit Canadian shores for a HSPA launch on Bell and TELUS? Although its kind of doubtful.

So I guess we will have to sit back and wait to see if these dates are true.

Update for BerryBuzz to v 2.1.35

Capture-on-08-19-2009-10-25-06[1]

I just wanted to let everyone know that if you have BerryBuzz by Bellshare GmbH, it’s time to update it. Especially if you have updated your BlackBerry Messenger. With so many updates, it’s important to keep up with them. BerryBuzz and Color ID are two favorites of mine that I keep on my BlackBerry. Together I always know who or what is coming through on my phone. In case you’re wondering what’s new, here it is.

The new update fixes the following:

Fixed compatibility with the official BBM 5.0 on all OS versions

Fixed compatiblity with OS 5.0 (Audible reminders will not work on 5.0.0.2xx versions as there seems to be a bug that prevents 3rd party apps from adding items to the profiles).

BerryBuzz alerts you whenever you have a message. You customize the color, either from their choices or making your own, and it supports the messengers, even the BlackBerry Messenger! You can customize the color LED and the vibrate for each of your emails, sms, mms, messengers, etc. It’s an app you will find a great asset in.

So please sign in to your account if you have it and download the newest version. If you don’t have BerryBuzz, you can grab your copy from the BlackBerry Sync Store for $5.95.

Vonage Launches Its BlackBerry App For BlackBerry

BlackBerryVonage

Vonage announced it’s mobile application for BlackBerry. Users can use it to make inexpensive international calls wherever they go. Vonage mobile international rates save users more than 50% in dozens of countries compared to most wireless carriers. Users can also use their existing number, contacts, and device interface to place calls. No extra steps needed.

Users also get real-time balance updates to ensure they always make the calls that they want. The app will use your phone number so that those you call know it’s you.

This is the press release:

HOLMDEL, NJ, October 5, 2009 – Today Vonage launched Vonage Mobile, its first mobile calling application for smartphones. Vonage Mobile is a free downloadable application (app) that provides seamless, low-cost international calling while on Wi-Fi or cellular networks*. Once downloaded, the service saves customers more than 50% on calls to dozens of countries versus the rates charged by wireless carriers while providing far more convenience than calling cards. Vonage Mobile will be available for download on the iPhone®, BlackBerry® and iPod touch® at www.vonage.com and the iTunes App Store later today.

With Vonage Mobile you can call around the world from home, a Wi-Fi hotspot, or while traveling around the country. Vonage Mobile is easy to use. There are no access numbers or new phone numbers to give to friends and family. Simply enter an international number or select a contact from the existing contacts on your iPhone or Blackberry and hit send. Vonage does the rest.

This app will give customers exceptional per-minute rates to any country they want to dial. In the fourth quarter 2009, we will enhance the app to include the popular Vonage World plan that was introduced for home service in August. This enhancement extends the ability to make unlimited calls to over 60 countries for one flat monthly fee to mobile users; giving customers the choice to pick the plan that fits them best.
