Al Sacco over at CIO posted a new article talking about RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry Accessories. While he was at WES 2009 he got a sneak peak at a stylish new Bluetooth Headset from RIM, which features a removable over-the-ear loop, stylish design. The headset will also be able to stream audio content including music and podcasts. This headset will sport dual microphones with noise cancellation. Al also menthod the headset looks similar to BlueAnt’s new Q1 Bluetooth headset only its wider and all black with a stylish BlackBerry logo. Vlingo was introduced less than a year ago, and millions of users are using it and are familiar with it. Vlingo Corporation, maker of Vlingo, has now launched version 3.0. Vlingo is a program that already gives meaning to the power of speech, but now it’s even more. It currently gives users the ability to send and reply to emails and text messages, searching on the mobile web using various search cues, dial a contact, look up contacts, and launch certain applications in the phone by using the voice of the user. The program utilizes the side buttons so the user can press a button and speak. But that was 2.0, and with 3.0, it just got better.

Now with v3.0 users can use the enhanced text-to-speech read-back features so that now you can have confirmation of what was said, the ability to speak action requests giving new enhancement to voice command such as send, and support for wired headsets and many Bluetooth headsets.

It’s now available for many BlackBerry BES users, making it available to more users. The BlackBerry Storm also features a special version, which is optimized for the touch screen interface.

With Vlingo v3.0, the user’s voice now has the ability to:

1. Send and reply to text messages with other users who also have Vlingo
2. Web search
3. Dial the phone
4. Send a “note to self”
5. Facebook and Twitter status updates
6. Tell A Friend
7. Optional read-back of the full text or email message that was spoken.
8. Speak action requests such as “send” or “search”
9. Launch native and third party applications

But that’s not all, there’s a paid version called Vlingo Plus, that also includes the ability to send and reply to text messages and emails to anyone for a one-time charge of $17.99. And rest assured, for those existing users of Vlingo v2.0, you can still continue to use it at no additional charge.

Vlingo is currently available for the BlackBerry: Bold, Storm, Pearl, Curve, and 88xx series.

WES2009 has now been going on for two days. I’ve been watching my Twitter, reading it and enjoying the pictures and updates. While it was somewhat quiet today, there were a few tweets from our fellow Tweets. So here’s what you have missed this Tuesday if you’re not following Al Sacco, Bla1ze, CrackBerry Adam, CrackBerry Kevin, Nan Palmero, and/or Simon Sage. Thanks to these fantastic BlackBerry advocates, we are able to have a glimpse of what we’re missing. So here’s what happened Tuesday.

Keynotes today, and Mike Lazaridis spoke about the BlackBerry birthday, success, and growth. There was a little bit spoken about Chalk Media and Mobile Voice System. Wireless Presentation Solution for Projecting Power Point was mentioned. LotusLive was mentioned as well. Today was mostly pertaining to BES, but there were some fun moments and the entertainment for the evening was a dj and Will.i.am.

Many of us weren’t able to attend WES2009, but there those who are there who are generous enough to go and share the adventure and information with us as they explore the event. Some brief moments shared so far as shared on Twitter. Now besides the news coming through Monday, they had mahi mahi, an open bar. Now for news. There are over 200,000 BlackBerry Servers around the globe. There are over 10 million Facebook downloads to BlackBerry smartphones. BES 5.0 was released today. BlackBerry and HP have joined together to bring HP Cloudprint to let you print to the closest printer, does not require BES, supports printers outside of HP, and is a free app. BlackBerry MVS (Mobile Voice System)is like Google Voice. When I woke up this morning I had tons of email and 5 of which was RIM letting us know about their new announcements before WES ‘09. One of them caught my attention right away (BES 5.0) then followed by this one titled “RIM Further Extends Push Technology to BlackBerry Developers” which is great news! This means that software developers will now have access to RIM’s push technology bring content to BlackBerry smartphones in real time, as soon as it is sent. In Use Today

Our friends over at CrackBerry have just leaked a new screenshot of what’s being called BlackBerry Groups, which borrows features from the dying BlackBerry Unite! Think of it as an application for your BlackBerry that allows you to share your contacts, calendars and location with people in your group. It’s quite an interesting idea considering they are killing off Unite starting today. RIM did announce today that BlackBerry Unite! their mini BES solution for personal family use will no longer be offered effective today. So we might just see BlackBerry Groups pop up very soon, maybe even WES 2009 soon? Stay tuned…

A fantastic event is on it’s way to Orlando, Florida from May 5th to May 7th this year.  Research In Motion (RIM) will hosting this event, better known as WES 2009, which will bring leaders in the industry and innovators alike , to share insights on the BlackBerry platform and many other wireless products and services that are available to BlackBerry. Those who attend will learn all about the latest innovations, will be inspired and learn ways to bring the most to their businesses and gain the most from their investments.

Our friends at BGR are reporting that WES (Wireless Enterprise Symposium) 2009 might show off some exciting new toys! First thing right off the bat is AT&T will finally be showing off the BlackBerry Curve 8900 aka Javelin after much delay. Not only that but RIM hopefully will formally announce the BlackBerry 9630 “Niagara” which is the new CDMA World Edition smartphone. As you may know the 9630 will take from both the Bold and Curve 8900 series to bring an all new design with tons of great features. BGR goes on to report that Canada may be the first to see the 9630 launch on presumally Bell and Telus late May, then followed by Verizon in June/July.
