Wikitude is one of my all time favorite apps for my BlackBerry device. With it I can find people and places around that I wouldn’t notice but can find through Augmented Reality. I especially use it for cafes, tweets, and Youtube. I missed posting two updates, so I’ll post the changelog I’ve missed.

One more thing about Wikitude I didn’t mention in the beginning is that it’s FREE! If you haven’t checked out Wikitude yet,  keep reading.

It was a friend of mine who introduced me to Wikitude by Wikitude GmbH and I have really adored it ever since, especially with knowing that the Wikitude team is great with answering questions and concerns. NodeBeat by AffinityBlue, is another music app that is synthesizer based and works as though created by the Greek Muse, Euterpe herself. It’s fun, creative, colorful and is very easy to use for all ages. For the price associated with the app, I know you’ll find it a steal.

First off, I need to be honest, I never heard of NodeBeat until they announced it for the BlackBerry PlayBook. It’s a very neat app no matter your age or musical talent. Show this one to your children and you may never see your BlackBerry PlayBook again, or at least until it needs to be charged again.

BlackBerry World 2012 was eventful and RIM gave us a peak at what to expect as well as having prototypes of the device available for those who attended BlackBerry 10 Jam. Check out the video from BlackBerry, which left me anxiously waiting for the release of BlackBerry 10.

What features are you most looking forward to? I love the keyboard and though I love having a physical keyboard, I’m pretty sure I could use the virtual keyboard just as well.

I know this isn’t news, but it is advertising and humor. Do you remember Vodafone’s BlackBerry Boys and their catchy jingle of “We’re the BlackBerry Boys”? They’re back with a new song in which they lament the younger generation using BlackBerry. It’s humorous and it’s catchy. Check it out…

There’s one other video I had to share with you. It’s a BlackBerry video in Spanish which is really fun and catchy too. This is BlackBerry Boys Unefon, which is the same sort of catchy tune of the original BlackBerry Boys but is different wording in Spanish.

The white colored BlackBerry Bold 9900 has not been officially announced by RIM as of yet. That hasn’t stopped Vodafone UK from showing it off on video. If you remember Vodafone also showed off the first Bold 9900 before it was publicly available back in June. Vodafone hasn’t announced when it will be available for purchase, but we expect to see it hit the UK as well Canada (and hopefully the United States) within the next few months. The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is still yet to be announced by RIM, and really we should expect an announcement any day now. But if you’re looking to get your fix of this massive touch screen BlackBerry then check this out. The video above shows the new Torch’s on screen keyboard, which was updated with the new BlackBerry 7 OS found on the device. As you can see from the video the new Torch 9860 looks pretty responsive. I can’t wait to get my hands on one and see if RIM actually mastered touch screens yet. Hopefully just a few weeks left until we see the official announcement and release. Stay tuned!

It’s really getting torturous seeing all these BlackBerry Bold 9900 pictures and videos on the internet. A new video has popped up on the internet which is under 20 minutes long, and shows the new Bold Touch in pretty great detail. The video comes from Tracy and Matt and shows off the Bold Touch’s new 1.2GHz processor, liquid display, and slim body. You can check out the video below…

Since the BlackBerry PlayBook launched one week ago today, I’ve been wondering when or if RIM would start airing any commercials aimed at the PlayBook. Honestly I would have thought we would see commercials for RIM’s first tablet months ago, but hey what do I know. RIM’s first commercial has just been uploaded to Youtube and we really hope this is just the beginning. RIM changed up their usual jingle for a more classic song Brass in Pocket by The Pretenders. Sometime very different for RIM indeed. Check out the commercial and let us know what you think. Will it help?

Since the BlackBerry PlayBook was announced we’ve been very curious to know how RIM plans to take advantage of the dual HD cameras. At first we thought it might just be for Skype or Google Talk, but we now have confirmation the PlayBook will have a native BBM Video app.  As you can see in this video posted by Rogers Business Blog. While RIM hasn’t said anything about this app yet, we really hope it will be ready to go on April 19th!

You will also know the dedicated Facebook and Twitter icons… I wonder if those will be native apps or web launchers? Check out the full video below…

Our friends at IntoMobile have taken look at the PlayBook’s upcoming 7digital Music Store and the BlackBerry Podcast App. They’ve recorded a HD video that really shows the high resolution details of the apps. From what we see, we like! The software on the PlayBook in this demo appears to be pretty polished and we would guess pretty close the gold master release, which would mean the version that it’ll ship with. The RIM rep also confirmed that the PlayBook will be able to transfer media via the same BlackBerry Desktop Software that you use with your BlackBerry smartphone. Enjoy the video!
