A Verizon insider scooped up details about when exactly the BlackBerry Storm 9530 will launch. The tipster says the Storm will be launching in VZW corporate stores come November 15th and Best Buy the day after. Exact pricing still is unknown. The BlackBerry Storm (most likely 9530) has been cleared by the FCC. This means that a release for the Storm on Verizon could be anything. Once a device gains approval from the FCC this means that RIM has the “OK stamp” to sell it within the United States. So far we have heard release dates of anything from November 4th, 14th, 16th and 24th. Stay tuned for more…

Looks like Verizon will be showing off RIM’s hot new toy at the BlackBerry Developer Conference next week. The BlackBerry Developer Conferece runs October 21 and 22. Verizon has sent around invites to conference attendees to head over to their booth to check out a live Storm (rain jackets anyone? sorry couldn’t help myself..) anyways so between this and the Verizon public touching events you can expect to see pics pop up everywhere… Stay tuned.

Unfortunately it won’t be to keep just yet. Verizon Wireless is holding events in select USA cities where you can actually test out a Storm 9530 and have free food while your at it. The events start in Omaha, NE on October 28th and finish November 20th in Milwaukee, WI. Now if only we could squeeze an actual release date out of them… hmm…

Verizon and RIM took out a huge advertisement in the Wall Street Journal today. The ad is a full page showing the BlackBerry Storm as coming soon exclusively from Verizon Wireless. Unfortunately that’s all it says. No release dates, Nothing. According to Boy Genius stay tuned for many more Storm ads like this in the upcoming times..

Good Morning everyone! Today’s a great day in RIM history because today Research In Motion has announced their first touch screen BlackBerry smartphone, the Storm. It’s confirmed for Vodafone and Verizon sometime next month.
The Storm will come in two models, the 9500 for European carriers such as Vodafone. The 9500 brings UMTS/HSPA and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM. The 9530 is designed for North American markets such as Verizon and brings EV-DO Rev. A/CDMA technology – and (2100Mhz) UMTS/HSPA. Check out RIM’s press release after the jump…
Boy Genius has posted an everything you would want to know about the BlackBerry Storm 9530. You can check out all the slides but here is a quick run down… As you may or may not know the Storm will feature a revolutionary touch screen that clicks when pressed down. It will also feature a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, high resolution 3.25″ display, both full QWERTY and Suretype touch keyboards and Assisted GPS (which provides your location faster). These slides also show details on how to type and use the Storm (and OS 4.7).

Apparently some Verizon WIreless stores have received display phones (not live units) for the BlackBerry Storm 9530. This is awesome news because it just means that they are one step further than everyone thought.
