Boy Genius offered everyone an early New Year’s gift by leaking a T-Mobile handset release date list. The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is listed to come to the carrier on Febuary 18, 2009. No pricing has been announced however at least we know when it will launch. Keep an eye out in the New Year for official pricing and more details.
Great news has arrived for those CDMA users in the house. A leaked document shows that three new CDMA BlackBerry models will be launching in the first half of 2009. These code-named models include “Niagara” the CDMA BlackBerry Bold 9030, “Jupiter” the CDMA BlackBerry Curve 8900, and “Apex” the CDMA BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230. Here’s the best part for the CDMA ones they are expected to launch on the major 4 (Verizon, Sprint, Bell and TELUS). Also reported is “Magnum” the 3G HSPA version of the Curve 8900 (9220)., “Pluto” the touchscreen BlackBerry Bold 9900, and possbily a Slider Storm and new refreshed Peral lineup. Good news for those with a SlingBox! Sling Media has announced that they will be holding public beta for BlackBerry users in North America starting December 30, 2008. SlingPlayer allows you to control your TV and DVR (Digital Video Recorder) right from your BlackBerry or computer. In Canada the software will only be available for clients with a Wi-Fi BlackBerry on Rogers such as Curve 8320, Curve 8900, Pearl 8120, Pearl Flip 8220, 8820 or Bold. In the United States you will see it available on T-Mobile for the Pearl Flip 8220 and Curve 8320. You will also be able to find it in the United States on AT&T to support their Curve 8320, Pearl 8120, 8820 and Bold. So go get signed up if your have a Slingbox and check it out!
Great news for those in the United States! The BlackBerry Curve 8900, which was previously code-named Javelin has been approved by the FCC. This means that technically the Curve 8900 could go on sale almost any time in the United States. So the next part is to try and guess who will have the Curve 8900 out first – T-Mobile or AT&T?

T-Mobile’s Wi-Fi packing BlackBerry Curve 8320 has finally been updated to OS 4.5.0.81. Most carriers have already updated their devices to 4.5 this is one of the last. Starting today any T-Mobile USA client can download OS 4.5 from BlackBerry.com. It took them long enough but its finally here.
RIM has just announced that their first BlackBerry first phone, the Pearl 8220 is now available from T-Mobile in the United States. The Pearl Flip 8220 will be available starting today for $149.99 with two year contract at all T-Mobile stores. Within in the next few weeks a red colored model will be available as well. Sure we have seen Kevin’s Pearl 8220 unboxing before but The Boy Genius managed to take it on step closer. He has unboxed a T-Mobile branded Pearl Flip 8220. He also goes on to say that he isn’t teribally impressed with the overall quality of the product “As far as the device goes, we’re pretty disappointed. Not so much because it’s absolutely terrible, just because the Pearl Flip feels like a prototype and not a final build. Even though this is a retail unit.”.
T-Mobile USA now has the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 on their site. It’s a pre-register site meaning you will be notified when the Pearl Flip is available for sale. No pricing or release date is available at this time, but you can expect to pick one up fairly soon…

T-Mobile will be launching three more colored BlacKBerry models on their network come October 15th. The three new colors include “Frost”, “Black Emerald”, and “Indigo”. The three new models are still the BlackBerry 8120 so they will be packing Wi-Fi, 2.0 megapixel camera and OS 4.5?
You should be able to get these hot new colors on or shortly after October 15th.
