BBM Music has been a lot of fun. It’s a social app that allows you to listen to music, share music, grow your music library and more! It all connects through BBM, though your BBM Music friends don’t have to be your BBM Buddies. As of the 22nd, if you have one of the OS 7 handsets, the icon should appear on your BlackBerry. On Inside BlackBerry, BlackBerry has posted the following:

“With the release of BBM™ Music you can now listen to your favorite songs, share music with your BBM friends and even receive recommendations on new music you might be interested in right on your BlackBerry® smartphone¹. The best part of all is you can try BBM Music for free².! The length of the free trial will vary by carrier – so, check with your carrier for details!”

So since the 22nd, if you have service under BIS with any of the carriers listed, you should see a BBM Music icon. If you’re interested, click on it and it will take you to the BlackBerry App World to download. If you are on an Enterprise account (BES), the icon will be missing, and you will have to contact your BlackBerry administrator for assistance and permission. What are the benefits and features of BBM Music?

• Create your music profile* from a catalogue of millions of songs and keep it fresh by swapping songs every month
• Make friends and listen to their music selections
• Play single songs or entire playlists created by friends. Listen to a giant playlist that includes all tracks from all your friends
• Create playlists that are all your own – using songs from all your friends’ profiles
• Post comments about your friends’ music and chat with them about music in real-time
• Discover what your friends are doing by watching the timeline – friends adding friends, new songs, playlists, comments
• Listen offline, while not connected to the wireless network (listen on subway, airplane, cottage, etc.)

Your profile contains 50 songs, but you can freshen them up monthly with 25 music song swaps. This is subscription based, however there is a free trial, the length of which depends upon your carrier. Although your profile can have up to 50 songs, you also have access to your BBM Music friends profiles, which allows you to grow your collection.

Following AT&T’s announcement of the new BlackBerry 7 smartphones, T-Mobile USA has announced the launch of the BlackBerry 9810. The new Torch 9810 with BlackBerry 7 OS will be available from T-Mobile starting November 9th for $249.99 with two year term (after mail-in rebates).

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 has been available in Canada for a couple weeks now, but in the United States most are still patiently waiting, until now. T-Mobile has just announced the new Bold 9900 is now available online and in most of their stores. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will run you $299 with two-year contract or $599 without contract. It seems like every day we hear about a new date for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 to launch in the United States. With any luck we will hear from RIM on launch dates this week. According to the leak posted by PhoneArena, T-Mobile USA will be launching the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 on August 31st. The leak shows a $50 mail-in rebate when you attach a $20 data plan or higher. So it looks like a new BlackBerry will be coming just in time for back to school at T-Mobile USA.

With the announcement of the BlackBerry Bold Touch smartphones earlier this morning, T-Mobile USA became the first carrier to announce they will be carrying it. T-Mobile will be launching the 4G powered BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 later this year. T-Mobile announced the new Bold is coming via Twitter:

As expected T-Mobile has launched the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300. The new Curve 3G takes the Curve 8520 one step further with faster data speeds, more memory, which will allow easy upgrades to BlackBerry 6 OS. The new BlackBerry Curve 3G is available in either Graphite or Smokey Violet for $79.99 with two year term or $329.99 outright. You can grab more details on T-Mobile’s website.

Next we should expect to see a CDMA variant of the BlackBerry Curve 3G hitting Verizon. Stay tuned for that.

Is there any purple freaks out there? Rest assured that T-Mobile will be getting another purple colored BlackBerry. Our buddy Salomondrin has just posted up some pictures of the unreleased BlackBerry 9300 in Purple. This model will be the direct replacement for the existing Curve 8520, and will sport 3G and “hopefully” BlackBerry 6, the next generation BlackBerry OS. As you can see its got T-Mobile branding, so we will deffantely see it head that way, however we aren’t really sure when it’ll launch. Most likely for back to school season…

Not to worry though. If you aren’t a T-Mobile customer (or maybe even if you are) I would suggest checking out OS 5.0.0.743, which was officially released by Rogers last week. This OS is said to run awesome on the Bold 9700. You can download the Rogers 5.0.0.743 here.

This doesn’t really come as a huge surprise, but CellPhoneSignal is reporting that T-Mobile USA is getting set to launch a third color of the popular BlackBerry Curve 8520. T-Mo is said to be launching a fuchsia colored 8520 on May 19th. This redish fuchsia color joins the black and white colored Curve 8520′s already available on the carriers lineup. So expect an official announcement from T-Mobile mid-next week…
