TheStreet is reporting that Verizon should see this hot new World Edition BlackBerry by May of this year. Sprint’s 2009 Roadmap shows BlackBerry Niagara – Q3 2009

In case there are any Sprint customers out there who had dreams about the Niagara over the weekend after all the leaks, I’ve got news for you! A leaked Sprint roadmap shows many new upcoming handsets including the BlackBerry Niagara 9630. No exact release dates are shown on the slides but you should expect it sometime Q3 of 2009. I know its not the exact news you wanted but at least its going to Sprint! Keep checking back for more details as we find them.

T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8120 to get OS 4.5 upgrade!

Finally it seems T-Mobile USA will be releasing the much needed OS 4.5 update for their BlackBerry Pearl 8120. Starting tomorrow (March 13th) you should be able to download the OS online from t-mobile.com/bbupgrade. Once upgraded you will notice many improvements such as multimedia streaming, wireless software updates, new browser start page, new version of MyFaves app and HTML email for BIS users. Previous reports talked about this puppy costing somehwere around $149 with two year, but it seems $199 will be the price for now. It appears that T-Mobile’s BlackBerry Curve 8900 is getting even closer! T-Mobile will be launching it very soon, and now we have leaked pricing information. The Curve 8900 (previously called Javelin) will run you about $149.99 with two year term, $249.99 with one year or $649.99 without contract. Apparently the pricing was double confirmed when tipsters checked out Best Buy’s inventory system which shows the no contract price at $649.99 as well. So T-Mobile clients get ready! Your new Curve 8900 should be here soon…

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen talk of BlackBerry Visual Voicemail coming to AT&T, but new reports show its listed in AT&T’s account management system BlackBerry Visual Voicemail is listed as an option for free however it appears it won’t actually let you add it to an account just yet. No one knows for sure when AT&T plans to launch the service and if it will cost or be free. Stay tuned for more details when they arrive…

Sprint launches OS 4.5 for BlackBerry Pearl 8130 & Curve 8330

Sprint has just launched the OS 4.5 upgrade for the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 and Curve 8330. They launched OS 4.5.0.131 for both models, however they skipped OS 4.5 for the 8830 World Edition. Keep in mind you don’t need to have a Sprint model to install this OS on your 8130 or 8330 just remember to delete the vendor file. For details on how to install it click here.

Also we should add according to BGR, this OS upgrade for Sprint users enables MMS picture and video messaging!
