Would you look at that… Best Buy USA’s mobile catalog shows the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 for Verizon. This catalog comes out on October 25th, which means that if the rumors have been true all along Verizon may be releasing it around that time. No word on pricing from Best Buy just yet. Looks like they also have a small misprint as well. The 2 is missing from Storm2. Doh!

Just hours after the BlackBerry Bold 9700 was announced, four of the large North American carriers have announced it’s coming soon. AT&T, T-Mobile, Bell, and Rogers all say the Bold 9700 is coming in the coming weeks, and its expected that TELUS will also say something soon too. So far Rogers has announced the 9700 will run you $299 with three year contract (with minimum data requirements). No word on pricing from others yet.
Word is spreading that AT&T will be releasing the white edition of the BlackBerry Bold 9000 on October 18th. Latest reports from BGR, Engadget Mobile, and CrackBerry say that AT&T will launch it on the 18th for $199 with two year contract. Shortly after that Rogers here in Canada will be launching it for an unknown price. So after seeing the new White Bold… What do you think? Are you going to grab one or wait for the Bold 9700?
Woot! It’s getting closer. Some Verizon stores have already started to receive BlackBerry Storm2 9550 Display Units, and Accessories. We still have not even seen an official release from Verizon or RIM yet, but it’s expected VERY soon. So if there is any Storm chasers out (and we know there is!) sit back and relax you should be able to get their hands on the new Storm2 within the next few weeks… Until then enjoy some pictures courtesy of CrackBerry.
It might be late news, but its good news! Sprint has finally gotten around to releasing a new OS update for their BlackBerry Tour 9630. Sprint has released 4.7..1.57 which is said to feature a few improvements over their last version. Keep in mind you don’t need a Sprint Tour to install this update (simply follow the instructions here). Anyway if you’re using .57 on your Tour let us know how it works, by posting a comment below.

Ronen from BerryReview has just posted some updates to the Storm 2 launch for both Verizon and Vodafone. Apparently Vodafone UK will be launching the Storm 2 (9520) on October 15th (just a few days away!), followed by Verizon launching the Storm 2 (9520) on October 25th or so. Now Ronen also goes on to say that he received a tip that RIM will not be launching the 9520, the 3G version of the Storm 2 in the USA. With any luck we might see the 9520 hit Canadian shores for a HSPA launch on Bell and TELUS? Although its kind of doubtful.
So I guess we will have to sit back and wait to see if these dates are true.
Boy Genius has just posted a rumor, which even he isn’t willing to confirm yet. Apparently they received a tip that T-Mobile USA might be launching the BlackBerry Bold 9700 on November 11th. So if everything goes as planned we should be seeing the Bold 9700 get officially announced for T-Mobile and AT&T later this month (October 21st), then maybe releasing just a few weeks later. It’s no secret that the BlackBerry Storm 2 (9550) will be launching sometime this year. Well it seems that Best Buy has listed the Storm 2 in their internal inventory system as launching on October 25th. If this turns out to be true we would see an official launch from Verizon either late October or early November. My guess is that they may want to wait until November to release the Storm 2, as the original Storm was launch in November. But who knows…

Warning the following information might cause slight excitement for AT&T users. Look what was found hiding in AT&T’s Inventory System! It’s the BlackBerry Bold 9700 (formally code-named Onyx) and a white version of the current Bold 9000. Not word on when exactly either of these devices will be hitting AT&T, but you can sure bet it will be soon. Stay tuned while we search for more details…

Nice! Look what has joined Verizon’s inventory system. It’s the BlackBerry Storm 2 (9550) which joins the unreleased / unannounced BlackBerry Curve 8530. This is one closer step for those looking to get their hands on a Storm 2! Looks like Verizon may have it in time for the holiday season.
