Well technically not eight NEW models but three new Pearl color variants, BlackBerry Kickstart 8220 and the Javelin. The three new Pearl 8120 colors include Tahitian Green, Indigo and Light Blue to go along with their three other Pearl colors. Their BlackBerry Kickstart or Pearl 8220 will launch around late September maybe October in several color options. Last but not least the Blackberry Javelin, which we have talked about before will launch near the end of the year. The Javelin will be a lighter, smaller version of the Curve with a higher resolution display.
Unfortunately there is no news on the BlackBerry Bold coming to T-Mobile anytime soon, but with the October 1st launch of their 3G network coming you may see it early 2009.

That’s right Verizon has dropped all prices on their BlackBerry smartphones. Prices now range from $79.99 to $149.99 with two contracts. So that means now you can get a BlackBerry Pearl 8130 for $79.99, Curve 8330 for $99.99 or 8830 World Edition for $149.99. So either Verizon just wants to push out more BlackBerry devices or they are making room for some new CDMA stuff? Like the dreamy BlackBerry Thunder.
Speaking of launches and Verizon they recently launched their Visual Voicemail service. If you remember we talked about the Visual Voicemail launch and how the Thunder would launch shortly after. If you don’t remember check out that post here.

More news is trickling down about the BlackBerry Bold and Thunder. Rumor has it the BlackBerry Bold might be running late on some networks. BGR heard from two sources that the Bold may be pushed back until September due to a few small software issues with roaming and seraching, etc. Next up is the highly anticipated BlackBerry Thunder for Verizon. RIM might be starting a huge marketing push for the Thunder come September with an official launch around mid-October. So let's hope they get a move on with both devices!!
