Want Twitter on your BlackBerry? It’s my new addiction

twitterberry

Recently I’ve started to discover and mess around with Twitter. I’ve had a twitter feed setup for BlackBerry Sync for months now but finally I’m just getting around to testing it out. One of the first things I started to do was look around for Twitter applications for my BlackBerry. I didn’t know what to except for an application until I stumbled across a great one called TwitterBerry.

TwitterBerry is a great application that allows you to update your Twitter status right from your device. Not only that but it allows you to see your Twitter friends and see their updates, plus reply or direct message your friends. Anyways if your looking to get into Twitter I suggest you do the following steps:

  • Sign up for Twitter (if you haven’t already)
  • Start following BlackBerry Sync on Twitter
  • Download TwitterBerry OTA here from your BlackBerry
  • Then once you have your friends Twit away! If your a Twitter addict let us know in the comments. Also if you have seen other Twitter apps for BlackBerry post a comment as well…

At first glance you would almost think its the BlackBerry Storm but after reading online many seem to think its the Curve 8900. Anyways good to see that he switches up his devices every once in a while…

Microsoft says Obama needs to stop using BlackBerry – Might be Canadian Security Threat

Last week you may have seen that President Obama was allowed to keep his BlackBerry by the NSA. Basically it got a super encryption and will be allowed to be kept for personal communications only. While for his more Presidential needs he will be using a Windows Mobile powered Sectera Edge. Someone at Microsoft actually released a comment to the WSJ saying this:

“You would be sending your data outside the country,” says Randy Siegel, a Microsoft enterprise mobile strategist who works on federal government projects. “We wouldn’t want the casual musings or official communications of the most important person in the world being intercepted by others.”

What part of Super-Encryption doesn’t he get? Look at this huge thing they want him to use for everything? Below is the Sectera Edge.
