We missed this a few days ago, but someone sent it in on our tip line. Justin Bieber sent out a tweet letting all of his 8+ million followers know that he’s proudly Canadian and using a Canadian branded BlackBerry Bold. We can only guess how many teenage girls are dying to get his BBM right about now… All I can say is it’s some great free advertising for RIM :)

If any of you have found yourselves interested in social networking to the extreme, you likely have accounts on dozens of different sites that allow you to give and receive constant updates, in real-time, of what you’re doing and where you’re doing it. Well, as most Google account holders well know, Google Buzz was introduced to the world not too long ago. Today, they finally enabled BlackBerry users to use their services through the mobile browser and not just Google Maps.

To be able to use Google Buzz go to buzz.google.com on your mobile phone. It’s that simple. You’ll need to enable JavaScript to be able to use the mobile version, but if it’s not working, it’s as easy as pressing “J” when you’re viewing a page and it will give you a prompt letting you know “Refreshing with javascript enabled…”

If this works for you, give us a buzz right here and let us know how it’s working for you. Of course the design of it isn’t as pretty as it will be soon, but hopefully they’ll either sweeten the aesthetics or release a BlackBerry Google Buzz app!

Today was the first time I’ve ever setup a Wi-Fi network, and with that I learned something very neat. Did you know that if you use Wi-Fi, and turn on your mobile network that you can use BlackBerry Messenger and Email? I was able to carry on full conversations on messenger without any delay or issue. We’ve tested this on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and Storm2 9550 and it worked…

Anyone out there with another Wi-Fi BlackBerry want to try this? We have a feeling your device needs OS 5.0 to do this. Thoughts?

If you ever saw RIM’s corporate website before you would have noticed it was pretty boring. Well looks like RIM has kept going with their dark theme, and redesigned RIM.com their corporate homepage. The new RIM website no longer has the white and blue its gray and black primarily. The overall design is very similar to the BlackBerry.com design, which looks awesome. So if you get a minute stop over at RIM.com and check out their new design… It gets an A from me.

Some cellular providers change the homescreen of the BlackBerry browser to their mobile site. And others leave it as the homescreen BlackBerry has by default, the BlackBerry Help page. The reason I’m going to share this site with you is because it’s going to lead into announced updates and new apps.

The site you should have bookmarked in your browser is the mobile BlackBerry website. When going to the website, it has so much you can download that you can get many of the priority apps from here, rather than downloading the BlackBerry App World to get them.

First there’s the Home, then the BlackBerry logo and  banner beneath that. Then you see Site Search and BlackBerry Answers above the search  bar. This is so you can ask questions.

The section up first is “What’s New”. You can see the links for downloading the following: The BlackBerry App World, the brand new eBay app for BlackBerry Smartphones beta, the new 5.0 BlackBerry messenger, Tivo for BlackBerry Smartphones, and Visit the Official BlackBerry Blog.

Next is Help & Support. This has the most popular links, including Getting Started, Set-Up Your Email, BlackBerry Answers, BlackBerry Support Forums, and App World Mobile Support.

Below this section you will find Featured Apps from AppWorld: Get the latest news with Viigo, Watch TV with PrimeTime2Go, and More featured apps.

Personalize section has Themes, Wallpapers, and Ringtones.

Communicate section has the links that lead you to the apps for: Instant Messaging, Social Networking, and Email.

News & Weather, Sports, Finance, Entertainment, Technology, Search, and Travel are all sections you can click on that lead to web signals and apps for the category you choose.

Last is a mobile poll that asks your opinion in how you use your BlackBerry. They change their poll every now and then.

This is my favorite site to download from and it’s also an instructional site. With the brand new eBay app for those of you who shop eBay, you should check the site out.

Let me know what you think and whether this site is new to you or if you frequent it already.

I must admit I’m usually not one for posting stuff about other products, such as the iPhone, but this video was just too sweet. It seems a very angry iPhone user decided to take his Beretta 9mm handgun and shoot his iPhone 3 times, then burn it to ensure its dead. The iPhone owner appears to be angry over Apple denying the Google Voice app in their app store. All we can say is get a BlackBerry…

Here’s what the poster wrote:

Dear apple, We are sick and tired of your dictatorship. We refuse to be suffocated by your iron fist. Google Voice was the last straw. From now on I am a PC where I have my freedom.”

Enjoy the video (It’s also available in HD)…
