So I know I’m not the first person to think about this but I change my BlackBerry about every 3-6 months. I also have come to get a lot of contacts on my BB Messenger. The biggest pain about changing BlackBerries is that everytime I do a backup/restore or switch device wizard my BB messenger contacts get all messed up.
Wouldn’t it be so much better if RIM designed BlackBerry Messenger to auto-sign into an account when your device is turned on, similar to RIM’s MSN, AIM, Yahoo!, or Google Talk applications. One PIN for life would be amazing!! Anyways its very rare I write little blurps like these on the site but I just think it would be such a great idea.
Anybody else agree?

The folks over at HowardForums have got themselves into a little battle with MobiTV and need our support! A member of the forums posted a private URL which allows virtually anyone with a computer to access MobiTV files. Now because of this information being posted on HowardForums they want to have it removed and shut down. You can read the full details over here and please DIGG IT so everyone knows. HowardForums has been around for many years and has provided tons of valuable information, we can’t let one little company stop them.
Update: Looks like everything has been fixed up between Howard and MobiTV. MobiTV claims they never had intentions to try and shut down HowardForums, they simply just wanted to protect their product.

How many BlackBerries does one person need? Well Washington, DC mayor Adrian Fenty has three devices on him. Fenty is known to be a BlackBerry addict, recently he was spotted sporting the three devices (a 8800, Curve and 8700). You may wonder why he has so many devices? Well Fenty has one for his mayoral duties, one for personal stuff and one for the city's Police Chief to get in direct contact with him. What a popular guy.

The CrackBerry team has reviewed a very neat case for the BlackBerry. The OutterBOX BlackBerry cases are available for both the 8700 and 7200 series models. It encases your device making it dust, drop and crush proof in a polycarbonate/ABS body. The best part is you can still do everything with your device such as send/receive calls, write messages and charge it.
The “stylish” OutterBOX case will cost you a whooping $129.99 USD however it’s a great idea for protection in heavy duty environments. Check out OutterBOX.com for details and other cases for iPods and Treo’s just to name a few.

Many blogs are reporting that Pearl 2.0 is in the works as the 9100 series and that we should see it come out sometime before years end. In a recent interview with RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie, BlackBerry Cool quoted him saying “I think you’re gonna see two or three big suprises from us by the end of the year.â€. Interesting eh?
The next generation Pearl is rumored to be slimmer and include several feature upgrades such as a 2.0 megapixel camera, maybe GPS? and a new higher resolution display.
CrackBerry / BlackBerry Cool / Boy Genius Report have all reported information on the next generation Pearl.
