Leaked AT&T document shows Bold launch soon

A leaked document from AT&T’s PR department courtesy of The Boy Genius shows that the BlackBerry Bold will be launching next month. The document doesn’t include any official launch date and it appears they are still waiting for an official quote from RIM. The Bold will be available from AT&T for $299.99 with contract. Keep an eye on CTIA 2008 for more launch details…

iDEN BlackBerry Curve coming before years end!

BBNews is confirming that a new iDEN BlackBerry Curve is getting ready to launch before Christmas! Apparently this BlackBerry Curve 8350i will feature WI-Fi, an optional 2.0 megapixel camera and OS 4.6 (same as the Bold). Apparently this hot new Curve will launch on Sprint-Nextel for December 1st, but I’m thinking we will have to wait and see…

Why is Rogers advertising the Pearl 8220 already?

Apparently people have been getting flyers that show the newly released BlackBerry Bold 9000 and the unreleased BlackBerry Pearl 8220 (Formally known as Kickstart). It’s a little weird that RIM would let Rogers advertise the Pearl 8220 as they haven’t even announced it yet. This could mean that its release will be coming this week at CTIA or sooner.

Pricing looks to be similar to the flyer that was leaked back in August by CrackBerry. It will ring in at $149.99 with three year contract.

BlackBerry Storm brews closer for Verizon

Great news has just arrived from the Boy Genius! It seems that the BlackBerry Storm 9530 (formally known as Thunder) has been moved into Technical Acceptance by Verizon. This means that usually devices in this process are 3-4 weeks away. However the device may be delayed internally by RIM for an additional 3-4 weeks. This will give them enough time to work out all of the kinks (ie. the touch screen) but with any luck at all we may see it sometime in November.

As always stay tuned for more information!!

Kickstart looks huge beside a Javelin and Bold

So in case you didn’t know. A BlackBerry Kickstart looks huge beside its unreleased cousin the BlackBerry Javelin 8900. This picture popped up on HowardForums today and I can’t believe the size. Oh well I’m sure everyone will get use to it. Now if only RIM would launch the Kickstart and Javelin now!

Telus BlackBerry Storm/Thunder 9530 confirmed…
We have confirmed with two sources that Telus will be launching RIM’s first touchscreen BlackBerry later this year, however details are still a little sketchy. You may have already heard that Verizon is launching the Storm and Vodafone plus maybe Rogers as well. Well after we didn’t hear about Telus we started digging. Two close sources (who both confirmed Telus launching the Pearl 8130 last year) confirmed Telus will launch the 9530 before or around Christmas this year. Now at this time we don’t have any pricing or official dates but stay tuned!

Rogers’ BlackBerry Pearl 8220 for $149, not $50

Seems Rogers won’t get RIM’s first BlackBerry flip phone, the BlackBerry Kickstart Pearl 8220 for the once thought price of $50 with contract. The Pearl 8220 will be launching for $149.99 with three year contract. This pricing becomes more inline with their BlackBerry Curve 8310. So whos all up for getting a Pearl 8220?? Check out the pictures:

BlackBerry Storm/Thunder gets boxed for Verizon
Finally some more details on the highly anticipated BlackBerry Thunder or Storm 9530. As you may or may not know this will be RIM’s first touchscreen BlackBerry smartphone. Anyways it seems that Verizon will be using the BlackBerry Storm name and not Thunder as we saw before. This puppy will be packing a 8GB microSD card in box, 3.5mm headphone jack, Sim card slot for international roaming and NO Wi-Fi (sorry folks!).

Boy Genius seems to think that RIM will go with BlackBerry Storm for Verizon and other carriers such as Vodafone and Rogers may see it branded as the Thunder. So maybe we will see several models (9500, 9530, etc.). He also notes he thinks the Storm/Thunder is still on track for launch later this year…
