OS Alert: BlackBerry Tour 9630 OS 4.7.1.42 Leaked!

We just got word that OS 4.7.1.42 has been leaked for the BlackBerry Tour. If you remember, a few weeks ago we heard .42 was the stable OS that Verizon was planning to launch. This is a RIM internal copy, therefore before installing you must uninstall the RIM internal apps, which gets installed during the installation process. We aren’t sure what .42 fixes yet, however early reports so it DOES stop those annoying screen freezes. If you have installed this OS please post a comment below and let us know how it works…

Attn Storm Owners: A New And First Free Game For The BlackBerry Storm!

Yes, you read it right, FREE. The game is called BlackHole and it takes using the Storm’s tilting and rolling capabilities where you as the player needs to navigate the balls into a circle without touching the walls too often. You should download this one and try it and let us know what the verdict is.

OS Alert: BlackBerry Storm 9530 OS 5.0.0.191 Leaked!

The ninjas over at BlacKBerryOS just got their hands on OS 5.0.0.191 for the BlackBerry Storm 9530. This OS is still not official, therefore a lot of applications still don’t work on the device. This new version (.191) brings a couple hot features, including flick scrolling, which allows you to swipe your finger to navigate through the menus. One of the popular unique theme designers, NinjaThemes, has a great theme out called Slyde. It’s clever, sharp, and has a very futuristic, metallic, and tech-like feel to it. NinjaThemes puts emphasis on his themes being easy on the phone, but yet stylish and different. Slyde is definitely one of my fave themes available for the Tour so far.

Great news for Pacman lovers! BlackBerry OS announced a free version of Pacman for the BlackBerry. And I have to admit, it’s just like the arcade version. It comes complete with a high score list, mp3 sounds, and support for trackball and keyboard. It’s available for the Tour on down to the Pearl, but unfortunately the Storm is not included.

Update: Slacker Radio Now Updated To Slacker Radio v2.0.45

It’s time for another update, but this is one we’re sure you’re going to appreciate if you enjoy Slacker Radio. Improvements have been added making the Slacker use even better. For one thing, battery life has been improved while listening to the radio. For those of us who have a Tour, we’re sure you’re going to love that.

Improvements and changes include:

Battery life improved by twice as much as previous versions of Slacker while streaming.

Improved usability enhancements to the interface, and that’s including a “home” button to quickly access the station list.

The added ability to toggle the explicit content filter to be off and on from the main menu.

Addressed an issue caused when you placed a song on pause for an extended amount of time, and then Slacker would not properly playback the song when you were ready.

Also addressed the issue where if you received a call or message, that it would pause and then not properly resume, this was an issue that affected some users.

So what are you waiting for? If you like Slacker, stop slacking and get to downloading.

OS Alert: OS 5.0.0.191 Gets Leaked for BlackBerry Tour 9630!

It hasn’t been too long since we got to see the hands on preview of .191 OS for the BlackBerry Tour. This new unreleased OS features several new features including threaded SMS, theme previewer, vibrate and ring at the same time, new applications list, and shows 3G instead of 1XEV. Before installing please remember that this OS is NOT official, and has been leaked. We can not verify how stable this OS is as of yet. If you have given it a try please post some comments below…
