Just the other day we told you about eVeek’s new premium theme site called Elecite. Well they gave us a few other their new themes to test out and see what we thought. If your looking for a great design theme with sharp and precise images you can’t go wrong. Elecite’s graphics are probally the best I’ve seen for OS 4.5 yet. Prices currently are marked just under $7 each, which isn’t too bad when you consider the work they have put into these themes plus the flexibility they offering by customizing the theme to what you want.

Our friends at eVeek have launched a few premium theme site called “Elecite”. Don’t worry eVeek will remain a free theme site for BlackBerry and Elecite will be the premium themes for purchase. All the new themes that Elecite will require OS 4.5. All of the new premium themes are 100% customizable meaning you can request them to change icon orders on the home screen for free. US Cellular releases 4.5.0.66 for 8330 and 8130

US Cellular is the first carrier in the United States to launch OS 4.5 for the CDMA Curve 8330 and Pearl 8130. They have launched OS 4.5.0.66 for both units and its now available for download on USC’s BlackBerry download page. Keep in mind you don’t have to have a USC BlackBerry you can find details on how to install it here.

Download OS 4.5.0.77 unofficially for 8830 & 8330

That’s right! Get your hands on it before it disappears. Berry Review’s Ninjas seem to have found copies of RIM’s unreleased OS 4.5.0.77 for both the CDMA BlackBerry 8830 and Curve 8330. Apparently this version of the OS fixes the small delay of answering voice calls noticed in 4.5.0.66.

Gmail app for BlackBerry upgraded to 2.0.5

Google has upgraded their Gmail application for BlackBerry. The new version 2.0.5 is available all Gmail users including @gmail domains and custom domains by Google Apps. The new version brings new features such as support for mobile drafts and outbox, view contacts and call from address book, multiple accounts, support for google apps (no longer requiring two separate apps) and loads overall faster.

Pocket Mac gets upgraded; Mac users happy again…

As a Mac user I never was happy with the options for syncing my BlackBerry and Mac together. I always wanted RIM just to design a Desktop Manager like they have for Windows for Mac. Well I went over to the BlackBerry site today to discover that a new version of Pocket Mac (4.1.25) was released on August 14th. This new version brings great new features like iTunes syncing and support for newer BlackBerry smartphones.

Silence your BlackBerry Camera Shutter (Free Download)

Ever seen something so funny that you wish you snap a picture of it without anyone knowing? Well I was browsing the forums over at Pinstack and came across this. Its now possible to kill the shutter sound with an application called Peek A Boo from BerryCoder. One of the best parts about this software is its free! It will work with any camera packing BlackBerry with OS 4.2 or higher (except it may not be compatible with 8×30 CDMA devices or Curve 8320). To use the software all you have to do is set Peek A Boo to one of your devices convenience keys.
