Opera has just announced the release of their Opera Mini 4.1 beta for BlackBerry. It’s sporting some new features such as text searching, predictive text for addresses commonly used, downloading and uploading files and save it for later (offline viewing). Sprint has also announced the upcoming launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphone. Starting later this month Sprint customers will be also be pickup the Curve 8330 for $179.99 with two year contract, after rebates (take that Verizon and your $270). RIM has teamed up with XM and QuickPlay to offer XM Radio for BlackBerry. You can choose from 20 channels of commercial free music for only $7.99 USD a month. You can get a free 24 hour subscription by visiting xmradio.com/bb. Unfortunantly at this time it only works for residents in the United States and with devices running OS 4.2 or higher.

Today at CTIA 2008: Hands-On Mobile and Activision announced the release of Guitar Hero Mobile for BlackBerry. Apparently the game will be available with all the four national carriers in the United States very soon. The game starts off with 15 songs and is a one time purchase. You can download the game from bplay.com/guitarhero.
Verizon caught me off guard this morning with the announced of the BlackBerry Curve 8330. This new Curve will be RIM’s smallest and lightest BlackBerry smartphone yet. It features a 2.0 megapixel camera, full QWERTY keyboard, GPS, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphones jack and external microSD memory card slot. For now Verizon’s Curve will only be available in liquid silver with chrome finish (as seen here).
