Honestly delays on new BlackBerry launches seem to be a common thing these days. Bell Mobility was rumored to be launching the new BlackBerry Bold 9780 today, however that didn’t happen. Now new rumors are indicating that the Bold 9780 is delayed for Bell and its other half Virgin Mobile. Bell was expected to launch both the black and white colored Bold 9780′s for $124.95 with three year term. As of now we have no idea when Bell will be launching the new Bold, however we hope it comes sooner than later. We will keep you posted if we hear anything…

Virgin Mobile Canada (and presumably Bell) will be launching the BlackBerry Bold 9780 later this month. According to MobileSyrup, Virgin plans to release the Bold 9780 at $149.99 with contract on October 21st. This isn’t the first we’ve heard of an October launch for the slightly upgraded Bold 9780. In case you’re not familar with the Bold 9780, it will be the upgrade to the Bold 9700. The 9780 will appear identical, however will run BlackBerry 6 OS, sport a 5.0 megapixel camera, faster processor, and more on-board memory.

Rumors also point to Bell, TELUS, and Rogers to launch the Bold around the same time frame. Virgin also plans to introduce several other smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy Android smartphone. So it appears at least one new BlackBerry will makes it way on to store shelves for this Holiday season…

The BlackBerry Torch is set to go on sale in Canada on Thursday (September 30th), and some companies like Future Shop and Best Buy are now accepting pre-orders. One thing I noticed while browsing Future Shop’s website yesterday is the outright prices. So far it looks like Virgin Mobile Canada will be selling their Torch 9800 for $549.99 outright, while Bell, TELUS, and Rogers all sell it for $599.99. We aren’t too sure if this will be Virgin’s final retail price for the device, or if we will see a $50 price drop from the other carriers before launch. If we had to guess I would say Virgin might put the price up.

So what do you think? Will Virgin sell it $50 cheaper? or will they bump the price up?

Not quite the news Canadians were hoping for today. Previously all three and half national carriers (Bell, TELUS, Rogers, and Virgin) had announced the BlackBerry Torch would be launching on September 24th, however things appeared to have changed. Bell has now changed their launch date to October 1st, with reports that others are doing the same. The reason behind the small delay is apparently a BlackBerry 6 OS issue that needed to be fixed for launch. The BlackBerry Torch is said to go for $599.99 with no contract or $199.99 with three year contract, according to Bell. No word on pricing from the other carriers as of yet.

So looks like Canadians will have to wait a few extra days before getting their hands on the new BlackBerry Torch.

UPDATE: It looks like Bell, Future Shop, and BestBuy have all changed their BlackBerry Torch ads to “Coming Soon” from October 1st. This could be a bad sign. Stay tuned for updates.

Only a month after Rogers and TELUS announce the fact that the BlackBerry Pearl 3G will be “Coming Soon” another company jumps into the spotlight, by surprise, to show it’s arrival before anyone else! Virgin Mobile Canada posted their product before anyone else. There are no details about precisely when it is going to be released, however it does at least show it as an available product on their website with Coming Soon evidently displayed.

This new device is looking great being laden with all the latest and greatest. Wi-Fi, optical trackpad navigation, 3.2 MP camera, and a SureType keyboard are just the beginning. Even though I’m personally a fan of the full QWERTY devices, I be lying if I said this didn’t sound like an excellent device.

As of this moment, Virgin Mobile Canada is selling the phone for $349.99 without a contract, or $49.99 on a 3 year contract. The funniest thing about looking at their product page is when you click buy now, it actually said “Sorry, this phone has been flying off the shelves and we’re out of stock. Please make another selection.” Not exactly what I was expecting, but it was definitely good for a laugh. Don’t rush though, because although it’s making pearl lovers more anxious, it’s still not there yet!

Later, but only by about 6 hours, Best Buy’s product pages displayed Rogers even sexier looking Pearl 3G. With a gradient style blended black and red, the Rogers phone, for a fair amount extra, will stand out even more when it’s beside the Virgin Mobile Canada colour sceme.

Weighing in at $79.99 on a 3 year contract or $449.99 with no contract, it does add up to be a substantial percent more than Virgin. Don’t hesitate to check it out on the website either, but to no surprise, Rogers is also “Out Of Stock” at this time!

Its no secret that it was on the way, but today Virgin Mobile Canada officially went live with their HSPA+ network, thanks to Bell. With the launch of their new network comes several HSPA+ devices, including the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and iPhone. Virgin currently has the BlackBerry Bold 9700 listed at $149.99 with three year contract (with voice and data plan), or $549.99 without contract. This pricing is pretty similar around the major three networks here in Canada. Virgin also launched the BlackBerry Curve 8530 for their CDMA lineup at $49.99 with three year contract, or $399.99 without. If you want to grab more details head over to virginmobile.ca and check it out.

The Holiday Shopping season is now starting in full swing. The competitive pricing on BlackBerry smartphones is here. Both Bell and TELUS both now have their popular BlackBerry Pearl 8130 for $0 with three year term and Rogers is offering their new BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 for only $24.99 with three year term as well.

Let’s take a quick peak into the deals between the big three and see who is winning.

Bell: Currently offering Pearl 8130 for $0 (in four colors) and Curve 8330 for $99 (two colors) with three year terms.

TELUS: Currently offering the same pricing as Bell. Free Pearl 8130 (choice of 5 colors) and $99 Curve 8330 (choice of 3 colors) with three year terms.

Rogers: Currently offering Pearl Flip for $24.99 (choice of two colors), Curve 8320 (one color) for $99, Bold 9000 for $199, Pearl 8110 or 8120 for $49, Curve 8310 (three colors) for $99 all with three year terms.

Virgin Mobile: Currently only offering the Pearl 8130 in one color for $0 with three year term. Should be offering the Curve 8330 sometime this month as well.

Then of course if you wait just a little bit you should be able to pick up a BlackBerry Storm 9530 from either Bell or TELUS for an unknown price..

After you pick up your new BlackBerry smartphone head on over to The BlackBerry Sync Store and get it setup with hot new accessories and software!
