This is great news for Telus customers! The latest word is that Telus will be getting an exclusive on the highly anticpated touchscreen BlackBerry Thunder 9500. This means that Telus would join Verizon and Vodafone for a World Wide exclusive. Apparently the rumor has been confirmed by three separate sources, including one from the Globe and Mail stating “On the other hand, Telus is expected to launch (exclusively) a new touch screen BlackBerry this fall, which could steal some of the Bold’s Thunder, albeit temporarily.” in an article called “10 Reasons to Buy Rogers“.
It is expected that the Thunder will launch sometime in October (possibly Oct. 8th) on Verizon and hopefully Telus.

Windows Live Messenger has been running on Bell now for at least a year. We've received news that the service is finally coming to TELUS here in Canada. This means people with BlackBerry devices on TELUS now have full access to Windows Live (MSN) Messenger along with their hotmail email accounts.
Apparently service books are being sent to TELUS clients today and they will able to download it right from the home screen. The service will be FREE and included in all data plans. Stay tuned for more details…

Weird why does Telus’ website show a picture of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 with Windows Live Hotmail on the screen? Isn’t Windows Live a Bell exclusive? and I don’t believe you can setup your Hotmail for free (working 100% that is)… That’s just odd. Maybe Telus has something up their sleeves?

Look at this! Someone managed to get a screenshot of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 coming to Telus. Not. Someone simply had a little free time with photoshop. Seriously though besides this picture someone actually posted a “screenshot” of the Curve on the Telus site. We have a feeling that it’s fake. Just to clear things up the BlackBerry Curve 8330 will be launching sometime next month and will have a different colour scheme than any other Curve on the market at the moment. Stay tuned for more details. For the time being head over to HowardForums and check the discussion if you want a laugh.
Thanks to the hofo member who made this little picture above… it made me laugh.
