Bell decided to stick with the $249.95 with three year term or $699.95 without contract price point. Bell releases Storm OS 4.7.0.76? but forgets to release device.

I know your probably thinking how and why? but apparently earlier today RIM released Bell’s version of OS 4.7.0.76 for the BlackBerry Storm by accident. This is great news thought as the OS version is higher than Verizon’s current OS. At the time of this post it seems that RIM has removed the link but we’ve got pics any with any luck an official release is just around the corner…

Bell’s BlackBerry Storm launches December 15th

Final word has arrived that Bell will be launching the BlackBerry Storm on December 15, 2008. Apparently Bell wants to keep a tight race with TELUS and has printed several price cards in case they decide to drop the price at any time. Recently TELUS annoucned their BlackBerry Storm would sell for $249 with three year contract or $599 without. Bell has price cards set at $199, $249 or $299 with contract and $699 without. So anyways look like a solid release date is in place.

Bell says Storm coming sooner than later.

Seems with all the hands-on TELUS Storm love, Bell might be getting a little jelious. They have just sent out their first update email stating “The Storm is Coming Sooner” wait maybe they didn’t put the “er” but still it’s coming. Anyways this is just one sign we are getting a little closer to a launch. To keep up to date with the latest Bell Storm news head over to storminfo.ca and register to get email updates.

Canadians will the Storm really be nearly $300 w/ 3YR?

Rumors have arrived that both TELUS and Bell in Canada will be selling the BlackBerry Storm for around $299 with a three year term. Bell is said to be offering their Storm for $479-200 (data and voice discount) so $279 with three year term. With Verizon’s Storm coming in at $199.99 with two year term. Does anyone think that Canadians will really buy the Storm at nearly $300 with a three year term?

I think we will have to wait and see what they do officially…

Bell and TELUS to launch BlackBerry Storm at same time

News have arrived that Bell managers received a email last week stating that they would be launching the BlackBerry Storm 9530 shortly after Verizon does. Verizon is expected to launch their Storm on November 21st. The interesting part about the email is that Bell is saying “Bell & Telus will receive the device for sale at the same time.”

Bell requires all BlackBerry Storm quizzes to be cfompleted by December 5th. Therefore this could mean that the Storm will be available on both Canadian carriers around December 8th or so. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer…
