Bell’s Storm comes November 21st

Details have arrived of what Bell’s Q4 is getting ready to look like for this Holiday Season. Let’s start off with the most important detail. Bell is launching their BlackBerry Storm 9530 on November 21st along with a ton of other non BlackBerry phones. Bell’s discount brand Solo Mobile will be launching the white BlackBerry Pearl 8130 for Christmas as well.

Bell will also offer $30 for unlimited on device data (without or without voice plan). Not only that but Bell will release several new features including Roll Over Minutes. All we can say is this makes us wonder what TELUS has in store for Christmas?

BlackBerry Storm blows into FCC

The BlackBerry Storm (most likely 9530) has been cleared by the FCC. This means that a release for the Storm on Verizon could be anything. Once a device gains approval from the FCC this means that RIM has the “OK stamp” to sell it within the United States. So far we have heard release dates of anything from November 4th, 14th, 16th and 24th. Stay tuned for more…

FCC Documents can be found here (nothing too exciting)

BlackBerry Storm to pack McAfee Mobile Security

It seems that the Verizon BlackBerry Storm will be packing a trial of McAfee’s Mobile Security software out of the box. Mobile Security scans all attachments, files, messages and downloads to ensure they won’t harm your brand spanking new Storm. There is no word as to how much it will cost after the trial to buy.

Rogers 2009 BlackBerry Lineup!

We missed this one over the weekend. Boy Genius has released Rogers’ 2009 Blackberry lineup! Its filled with one new device every quarter and it will all start off with the BlackBerry Curve 8900 (formally known as Javelin) in Q1 then followed by a BlackBerry Storm varriant in Q2, BlackBerry “Magnum” (Curve 8900 with 3G) for Q3 and last but not least the BlackBerry Pluto (Bold-like device with touchscreen) for Q4 of 2009. Keep in mind they most likely won’t be getting the internal names and call the devices Magnum and Pluto. Also we should expect to see several new devices at WES (Wireless Enterprise Symposium) 2009 :-).

Is Rogers getting the BlackBerry Storm?

Yesterday BBCool broke news about Rogers possibly getting the BlackBerry Storm 9500 before Christmas. When they called into Rogers Customer Service the rep claims that they will be receiving a touch screen BlackBerry for the Christmas season. Usually Rogers CSR’s are contracted out and don’t have a clue whats going on. So we highly doubt that Rogers will be getting a BlackBerry Storm this year and the folks over at BGR have pointed out why… Read More
