MMMOOO has an app that unlocks your Storm just like Android Owners have for their Droids. The app is called Storm Unlock. It’s free and available from the BlackBerry Sync Store. This is a really cool app in that it lets you draw on it to unlock.

In need of a Bell BlackBerry? Well Bell has a great deal for you. In order to clear out stock, Bell has dropped the price of the first BlackBerry Storm (9530). You can now grab the Storm 9530 for $249.95 without contract, $99.95 with two year contract, or $0 with three year contract. This is a smoking deal for the Storm! espically since Bell has launched OS 5.0 for their Storm, which makes it like a whole new phone. I’m curious to see if Bell still plans on launching the Storm2 9550, or if they passed for something better?
For more details head over to Bell.ca or your local Bell store.

Finally! Some good news for BlackBerry Tour 9630 and Storm 9530 owners arrived today. MTS has just released OS 5.0.0.419 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630, and Bell Mobility has released OS 5.0.0.419 for the BlackBerry Storm 9530. We’ve heard that this version of OS 5.0 (.419) rocks and makes your device works near perfect. Follow the links below to download the version, and remember you don’t have to have a device from these carriers to install this OS (just remove the vendor.xml file).

Just after Bell dropped the price of their BlackBerry Bold 9700 to $199, it seems TELUS decided to take a similar path by clearing out some older models, such as the Storm 9530, and lowering the three year contract price on popular models such as Bold 9700 and Tour 9630. New customers (or eligible existing customers) can pick up the Tour 9630 for $49 (was $150), Storm 9530 for $0 (was $99) or the HSPA+ Bold 9700 for $199 (was $249). This is a great time to take advantage of a new BlackBerry on TELUS’ 3G networks.
Oh and in you were wondering.. Yes TELUS still plans to introduce the BlackBerry Curve 8530 shortly. Stay tuned.

TELUS has become the first carrier in Canada to release the BlackBerry Storm2. TELUS decided to release the 9550, the CDMA version, which is not compatible with their new HSPA+ network. The Storm2 will run you about $199 with contract, or $599 without contract. Included in box with the 9550 is a 16GB memory card! For more details head over to telusmobility.com. We’re hoping to review the TELUS Storm2 within the upcoming weeks so stay tuned for that as well. Also keep an eye out for an announcement from Bell for the Storm2 shortly.

Ever wish you could shake your Storm, like an iPhone? A fun new app called ShakeItUp allows just that. ShakeItUp allows you to shake your Storm to compose an email or text, launch music player, or shake to shuffle your music while playing. It’s available in the BlackBerry Sync Store for only $3.99. It runs on the BlackBerry Storm (anything from OS 4.7 to 5.0). Check it out in the BlackBerry Sync Store. Click on over to see a video of the app in action!

RobLock by Xim Technologies, LLC, has released it’s next version, and it’s only available to Verizon US handsets. I’ve done a review on RobLock before, as it’s a security app that is reasonably priced and keeps your BlackBerry safe. It is theft recovery software complete with data backup solution.

Well maybe its not really in the wild, but its in Canada! A couple new photos of the “unreleased” highly secret BlackBerry Storm 9550 for TELUS have leaked. The photos show the CDMA model 9550, sporting EVDO and Wi-Fi, not HSPA like some were hoping. Still no word on when this device is launching, but if you head to nearly any TELUS store you will notice the Storm2 ads inside. We can only assume it will be launching within the next few weeks (maybe November 24th?). Anyway so final confirmation says TELUS will be launching the 9550, not 9520, and it will be running OS 5.0.0.320. Keep checking back for more details when we get them.

A new rumor has arrived that TELUS will be launching the anticipated BlackBerry Storm2 9550 on November 24th. This would be almost one year on the dot since TELUS first launch the Storm 9530. The new Storm2 will be a new CDMA smartphone, and will not be compatible with their HSPA network, which launches on November 5th. There is no word on pricing yet, but at least we have a rumored release date. Stay tuned for more details when they arrive…
