Silver BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 is the third color

So far we have seen both Red and Black in RIM’s new BlackBerry Pearl 8220, now RIM will be adding Silver to the collection. Silver brings a very nice professional touch in my opinion. We are not sure who will be launching this new color just yet, but most likely you will see it on both T-Mobile and Rogers.

Live shots – BlackBerry Pearl 8220 in Red

CrackBerry and friends have got some live shots of the newly announced BlackBerry Pearl 8220. One of the colors coming for T-Mobile USA is this dark red color. It’s a fairly nice shade of red similar to the Red Curve. Other colors. If you don’t like the red T-Mobile will also be launching it in black. Anyways the pics come from CTIA Fall 2008, which is going on in San Fransisco this week. You can see the whole gallery over at CrackBerry.

BlackBerry Pearl 8220 to get announced tomorrow!?!

Our friends from BBCool are working hard live from CTIA. They have confirmed that RIM will be announcing their first flip BlackBerry tomorrow at CTIA. Just after CrackBerry reported that people were receiving flyers showing off the Pearl 8220 for $149.99 with contract, it looks like we might see it available very soon.

RIM is expected to launch both the BlackBerry Pearl 8210 and 8220. The 8210 is the GPS packing Wi-Fi lacking model and the 8220 is the Wi-Fi packing one. It’s too bad that RIM scrapped the Kickstart name and moved them into the Pearl brand. Maybe they will call it Pearl flip or something?

Also BBCool is working on digging up more news as everyone is hoping they announce the BlackBerry Thunder/Storm… Stay tuned.

Why is Rogers advertising the Pearl 8220 already?

Apparently people have been getting flyers that show the newly released BlackBerry Bold 9000 and the unreleased BlackBerry Pearl 8220 (Formally known as Kickstart). It’s a little weird that RIM would let Rogers advertise the Pearl 8220 as they haven’t even announced it yet. This could mean that its release will be coming this week at CTIA or sooner.

Pricing looks to be similar to the flyer that was leaked back in August by CrackBerry. It will ring in at $149.99 with three year contract.

Kickstart looks huge beside a Javelin and Bold

So in case you didn’t know. A BlackBerry Kickstart looks huge beside its unreleased cousin the BlackBerry Javelin 8900. This picture popped up on HowardForums today and I can’t believe the size. Oh well I’m sure everyone will get use to it. Now if only RIM would launch the Kickstart and Javelin now!

BlackBerry Kickstart/Pearl 8220 on eBay…

<br />

First it was a BlackBerry Bold purchased on eBay way before it was even launched and now someone is going to grab a BlackBerry Kickstart Pearl 8220. RIM’s first flip BlackBerry is currently listed on eBay for around $700 USD with just a little over two days to go. If you look at the pictures close enough you will notice its not a english version as the Suretype keyboard reads AZERTY, which is the french version of QWERTY. Anyways surprising enough RIM hasn’t had this auction pulled yet.
