Apparently people have been getting flyers that show the newly released BlackBerry Bold 9000 and the unreleased BlackBerry Pearl 8220 (Formally known as Kickstart). It’s a little weird that RIM would let Rogers advertise the Pearl 8220 as they haven’t even announced it yet. This could mean that its release will be coming this week at CTIA or sooner.
Pricing looks to be similar to the flyer that was leaked back in August by CrackBerry. It will ring in at $149.99 with three year contract.

So in case you didn’t know. A BlackBerry Kickstart looks huge beside its unreleased cousin the BlackBerry Javelin 8900. This picture popped up on HowardForums today and I can’t believe the size. Oh well I’m sure everyone will get use to it. Now if only RIM would launch the Kickstart and Javelin now!

First it was a BlackBerry Bold purchased on eBay way before it was even launched and now someone is going to grab a BlackBerry Kickstart Pearl 8220. RIM’s first flip BlackBerry is currently listed on eBay for around $700 USD with just a little over two days to go. If you look at the pictures close enough you will notice its not a english version as the Suretype keyboard reads AZERTY, which is the french version of QWERTY. Anyways surprising enough RIM hasn’t had this auction pulled yet.
Check it out at eBay >>
Thanks Dee for sending this in!

Seems Rogers won’t get RIM’s first BlackBerry flip phone, the BlackBerry Kickstart Pearl 8220 for the once thought price of $50 with contract. The Pearl 8220 will be launching for $149.99 with three year contract. This pricing becomes more inline with their BlackBerry Curve 8310. So whos all up for getting a Pearl 8220?? Ronen pointed out that RIM has posted details of their new BlackBerry OS 4.6. You will find OS 4.6 on the new BlackBerry Bold, which is slowly popping up all over the world. The new OS 4.6 now allows QWERTY keyboard shortcuts meaning you can press Q to turn your device on vibrate and A to lock your keypad (similar to the Pearl’s Suretype shortcuts). I know these images aren’t really anything new, but more screenshots have appeared online of a T-Mobile branded BlackBerry Kickstart Pearl 8220. Looks like RIM might even be renaming the Kickstart for T-Mobile to become part of the Pearl series as well. Personally I think RIM should have marketed it as the Pearl Flip or something to that effect. Anyways enjoy the screenshots…

Expansys seems to love outing RIM’s unreleased handsets lately. Just a few weeks ago they were showing the BlackBerry Thunder as coming soon. This time Expansys is showing RIM’s unannounced BlackBerry Kickstart aka Pearl 8220 and 8210 as coming soon. They also list that both models of the Kickstart will sport PTT (Push to Talk). The Kickstart 8210 of course will be the GPS verison and 8220 will be the Wi-Fi version.
Head on over to Expansys for details…
P.S. RIM announce this damn phone already!!!

Rogers Pearl 8220 gaming site
So Rogers has accidently listed the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 (aka Kickstart) on their gaming downloads page. This could mean one of two things either Rogers will be launching the Pearl 8220 within the week or two or that they simply made an error and listed it way too early. Our bet goes along with previous reports that you will see the Pearl 8220 instores for September 1st or so.

Nothing really new to report on the BlackBerry Kickstart 8220 (also known as Pearl 8220), however a detailed list of all of the KIckstarts supported features has been leaked to the crew over at BerryReview. The spec sheet is from back in Feburary so some of the stuff could be outdated but check it out. Continue reading to see the full pictures…
