So earlier today there was some news going around that an unknown BlackBerry received Bluetooth SIG certification. The device turned out to be modeled the Curve 8910, which is sort of an odd model number considering. Well new tips have arrived over at BerryReview to point out that the Curve 8910 will be a non-3G BlackBerry, featuring an optical trackpad and will sport OS 5.0. Other than that we don’t know much…

Any thoughts?

These cases have been designed to provide maximum protection by offering two layers to wrap around your device. The first layer is a tough custom fitted silicon skin, followed by an ABS plastic shell. These cases seem to be designed to make a little competition for OtterBox, and their Commuter Series. Case-Mate’s new hybrid case comes in a variety of colors for each model. You can pick one of these new cases up for $34.99 from case-mate.com.

You remember Colorware? It’s the site where you can give not only your BlackBerry, but tons of other devices a custom paint job. Well generally the custom paint job for a BlackBerry costs around $159 USD, and you have to send it to them. Well Colorware has introduced a parts only service for those feeling curious.
A few months ago, We took a look at Case-Mate’s Fuel case/holster for the Bold 9000. Now Case-Mate has expanded their Fuel line-up for the BlackBerry Curve 8900, and soon to be followed by the Tour 9630. These defiantly aren’t your normal holsters. The Fuel case features a rechargeable battery pack to pretty much double your regular battery life, plus the benefits of a durable holster.

The new Fuel case for the Curve 8900 provides:

Talk time: up to 7 additional hours beyond standard BlackBerry Curve 8900 battery life

Stand by time: up to 20 additional days beyond standard BlackBerry Curve 8900 battery life

Power on/off button allows activation of the fuel battery pack as needed.

Rechargeable through a standard BlackBerry micro usb cable (not included)

Fully ratcheting 180-degree belt clip

Easy slide in/out access to your BlackBerry Curve 8900

Now the Fuel cases aren’t exactly the cheapest on the market, ringing in at $79.99 USD, but provides a great carrying and charging solution in one. You can grab one of the new Curve 8900 Fuel Cases at Case-Mate.com.

Looks like AT&T may be getting ready to launch a white colored BlackBerry Curve 8900 soon. This is the first we’ve heard or seen of a White 8900, but it would only make sense. A new tip received over at BGR shows the White 8900 in an AT&T advertisement. The tipster didn’t have any release dates, or pricing, but I’m sure we can except it to launch soon. So question for you the readers… What do you think of the new White BlackBerry models? First the Bold, now the Curve.

NinjaThemes has some bright and colorful themes, this one is outstanding as well. It has a look reminiscent of Tron or some space movie. And while Linear is available in the BlackBerry Sync Store in purple, I had the privilege of trying it out in Gold.

I always look forward to NinjaThemes new additions, they are colorful and don’t use a lot of memory. And there are NinjaThemes faves, such as Tweme, that many BlackBerry owners have come to love and adore. Linear is just as creative, and is available in the BlackBerry Sync Store for $1.99 in purple. The description of Linear is as follows:

Darkened purple accents on a plane of vertices, with hi-def icons for your Berry

Features include:

Hi-def icons

“Weather” application Icon Slot – put whatever weather/fav app you like there (NOTE: WEATHER APP NOT INCLUDED! DO NOT ASK!)

Simple design – minimal fonts

Wallpaper friendly

Homescreen icons are user-defined

OTA DOWNLOAD ONLY!

A battery pull is strongly recommended after installation of themes.

I installed Linear on my BlackBerry Tour 9630. After installation, I did the battery pull. The theme installed easily and as you can see by the pictures it has linear designs that almost remind me of a space landscape with a vortex and stars along the horizon. It has a designated weather spot for your weather icon. I use berryweather, but the weather app is not included, so you must have your own, of whichever you prefer.

On the top of the screen you see the alarm icon, the time in the top left, and date and day in the middle. The weather icon sits in the top right. Below the time sits the profile icon. In the bottom you have six separate icons you may customize. On the far left bottom sits the battery meter, the GPS icon to the right, and the network and bars in the far bottom right. When you click the options button you have the icons that sit in front of the landscape as though they are on a clear poster board or on a veil before the landscape. Indicators show clearly and work great.

Click on messages and the one you highlight is gold. Clicking the options button brings up a black menu and highlights in gold the one you highlight on. I did give pictures so that you can view the icons and what they appear like. I love the way the icons have been given some personality as well.

If you like themes, you won’t want to miss out on this one. The one currently in the store is purple, but as you can see, more colors are on the way. This theme to me says 3D, it says vision, and it says infinity. It’s a perfect compliment to your BlackBerry.
