BlackBerry Bridge received a small upgrade. The upgrade fixes an issue where BlackBerry Bridge is disabled after the BlackBerry OS 7.1 Upgrade. To update your BlackBerry Bridge, simply click on App World, go to My World and refresh. If you have a BlackBerry PlayBook the Bridge is FREE!

The World of Pootermobile‘s very first OS 7 theme has been born! The theme includes a weather slot and crisp and simple look of the Fresco theme, though it’s not compatible with the Torch at this time. Fresco OS 7 is available in the BlackBerry App World. Check it out…

The theme is currently only $1.99 for BlackBerry OS 7 devices with the exception of the Torch. The home screen is very nice. The battery life is a banner across the top left corner. The GPS symbol is below that banner and then the sound sits as a button looking like a doorbell below the GPS. Going to the right sits the time, date, the coverage and the bars. In the very right top right corner is the weather slot, which you need to place your weather app or other app you’d prefer in the number 19 icon place.  Search sits below that. The light blue screen is really soft. Opening your apps have a black clean background. I love the fun icons. They’re easy to distinguish and adds flair to the theme.

Opening the menu button in your apps shows a translucent grey menu with white font and blue highlight. It’s very nice and smooth. It’s a great clean theme for your OS 7 device and thank you Pootermobile for such a great theme and congrats on your first OS 7 one.

The design of Fresco OS7 was obviously a “port” from my latest theme Fresco. For OS7 devices I was pretty much forced to use the default panels layout because custom themes on OS7 are way too buggy. Either way the same feel of Fresco is present. You get a nice clean banner at the top containing all the essentials along with a weather slot. Below I will explain how the weather slot works because it’s a bit different from custom themes. Weather slot how-to: The icon that shows up in the top right of the banner is app number 19 in your app list. Move whatever icon you want up there to position number 19, then do a battery pull so the change can take effect. A battery pull is necessary there really isn’t a way around that.

BeBuzz by Bellshare GmbH was previously named BerryBuzz. It’s been my favorite alert notification app so far and it’s extremely easy to customize. It allows you to set up your notifications personalized for contacts, emails and more. The pro version was updated on the 8th. What’s new?

I love BeBuzz. You can choose notification LED colors, sounds, to vibrate or not, customize your emails, messengers, twitter clients, facebook, etc. This latest update actually now supports the messaging client Hookt. There’s also a few other items in the changelog as well.

Wikitude is one of my all time favorite apps for my BlackBerry device. With it I can find people and places around that I wouldn’t notice but can find through Augmented Reality. I especially use it for cafes, tweets, and Youtube. I missed posting two updates, so I’ll post the changelog I’ve missed.

One more thing about Wikitude I didn’t mention in the beginning is that it’s FREE! If you haven’t checked out Wikitude yet,  keep reading.

Another app that was released for the BlackBerry PlayBook during the BlackBerry World 2012 was MyCityWay. Available in BlackBerry App World, the app currently features the top five cities in the U.S. however there are 68 additional cities making their way to the app soon. Check it out…

MyCityWay is pretty neat. Fist of all it’s free. When you click on it, it opens into two views. The first is called Snapshot and it includes movies, events, traffic cameras, news, gas prices, the weather, and deals. Each of these little subsections opens up to give you a much more detailed view. The second view is called My City. When you slide My City over, Snapshot dims. My City includes Dining, Nightlife, What’s On, Shop, and Travel.

Dining opens up different restaurants and delis, categorizes them, prices, and ratings and allows you to search. Nightlife includes Bars & Pubs, Night clubs, Music Venue, and Comedy clubs. What’s On includes Events and Movies. Shop includes Deals & Offers as well as Shopping which has several categories to help find you exactly what you’re shopping for. Travel has Airports, Hotels, and Attractions.

The five cities that it currently supports are:

• New York
• San Francisco
• Chicago
• Austin
• Seattle

Here are the features included:

• Have the first app that offers a personalized all-access snapshot of the city, instantly connecting you to all the up-to-the-minute usable information you crave.
• Know all the city’s hotspots and restaurants

NodeBeat by AffinityBlue, is another music app that is synthesizer based and works as though created by the Greek Muse, Euterpe herself. It’s fun, creative, colorful and is very easy to use for all ages. For the price associated with the app, I know you’ll find it a steal.

First off, I need to be honest, I never heard of NodeBeat until they announced it for the BlackBerry PlayBook. It’s a very neat app no matter your age or musical talent. Show this one to your children and you may never see your BlackBerry PlayBook again, or at least until it needs to be charged again.

This app came out last month, and I thought I’d bring it to your attention. MorphWiz is the creation of Jordan Rudess and developer Kevin Chartier. The app is Billboard’s Best Music Creation App and MorphWiz – Play takes the deep sounds and fantastic visuals and brings it into a package of 30 custom presets. Check it out…

UberSocial has updated twice in two weeks, and with this latest update it fixed a couple bugs. UberSocial is available for the BlackBerry and is Twitter client that has themes available for download that are media related such as Sherlock Holmes 2, Ashton Kutcher’s A.plus, and Uber50 by 50 Cent. If you’re interested in one of the UberSocial themes, you have to have UberSocial installed and set up on your BlackBerry. UberSocial already comes eight themes included: Gray, Pink, Nature, Blue, Purple, Classic Uber, Red, and Midnight. It’s a fun Twitter app and is available in the BlackBerry App World. The themes you can download can be fun and even include sounds. My favorite is Sherlock Holmes 2.

Blaq by Kisai Labs updated a few days back so I’m a little late here, but better late than never. Blaq is definitely my favorite and preferred Twitter client for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The features and UI are just perfect and works perfect. Check out what was updated….
