A first look at Visual Voicemail for the BlackBerry Bold

As you may know Boy Genius never lets you down with the RIM leaks. He is now showing a first look at Visual Voicemail for AT&T’s BlackBerry Bold. AT&T will be introducing OS 4.6.0.219 sometime soon and with this update it should bring RIM’s new Visual Voicemail service with it. With any luck at all maybe RIM will bring this to other devices not just on AT&T. It would be sweet to have on the Storm! Anyways unfortunately he doesn’t have an exact release date but he does say be patient, it may be coming sooner than you think.

Uber-BlackBerry Rip Off: Meet the BlueBerry L900i

blueberry-l900-2

We’ve all seen BlackBerry rip offs before, but this one certainly tops the list. Meet the BlueBerry L900i, a Quad-band GSM phone with dual sim card slot with a large QVGA display and camera. This phone obviously takes the BlackBerry Bold’s style and bodym however it lacks the actual RIM OS and stuff. You can grab one of these interesting Bold rip offs directly from ChinaGrabber.com for just under $170 USD. Anyone want to guess how long before RIM takes down this brand??

Is Orange thinking about dropping BlackBerry Bold? again…

orange-blackberry-boldNo doubt Orange had some issues with the BlackBerry Bold but the latest rumor is that Orange is thinking about dropping the device yet again. The Bold has been available for nearly six months on Orange and yet it still suffers from “ongoing technical problems” including unexplained crashes, poor reception and irregular dropping of calls. Return rates also seem to be higher than most other devices due to the issues. So for now the Bold is still available in stores and online but for now we recommend picking up their hot new Curve 8900 if you don’t need the 3G…
