Capture on 09-15-2009 17-51-37

Cocky Culture has a variety of themes, very unique and very original. We’ve posted the review of Conquest, which is a fave of mine.  The theme I’m reviewing is Rocker Chic. The theme is very rock styled and classic. And there couldn’t be a better time for a new theme, especially with the fifty percent sale!

President Obama gets to keep his BlackBerry, gets super-encryption

presidentobama

It’s not secret President Barack Obama is a BlackBerry addict. Before he entered the White House there was concern that he wouldn’t be able to keep his trusty BlackBerry 8700c and that he would have to rely on one of the NSA’s Sectera Edge Windows Mobile smartphone. Instead apparently Obama has convinced the NSA to take his standard BlackBerry and add a super-encrypted package to it. Obama is only able to use the device for personal communications and only senior staff and a small group of personal friends will be able to reach him on the BlackBerry. Regardless this is great news for the President and all addicts are the World.

OtterBox redesigns BlackBerry 8700 case, now slimmer!

Even though with all these fancy new BlackBerry smartphones on the market, some people still prefer the old and tough BlackBerry 8700 series. Our friends at OtterBox know that. Originally when we saw the 8700 case from OtterBox it was HUGE (nearly double to the size of the phone). Well today OtterBox has redesigned the case to make it slimmer and more compact much like the ones for the Curve or Bold. The new cases are available from OtterBox for $49.95 USD, which is nothing considering the protection you get for your device. Check out our previous reviews of the OtterBox family

They offer videos on how to disassemble and assemble your BlackBerry 8100, 8300, 8700 and 8800. While we don’t recommend taking apart your BlackBerry if you need too this is a great guide!
