Since the BlackBerry World Conference in May everyone have been (patiently) waiting for a software update for the PlayBook OS. Well RIM let us know very early this morning that an update is available. The latest version (220.127.116.114) brings an updated version of Facebook for PlayBook, which is actually pre-loaded, as well support for In-App [...]
Since the BlackBerry PlayBook launched in April, Mac OS owners have been unable to sync their PlayBook with their computers. Luckily with all the Apple news today, RIM decided to launched BlackBerry Desktop Manager 2.1 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. This latest version brings media sync and backup/restore options for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. If [...]
It seems the Bold 9650 wasn’t the only BlackBerry Verizon had in mind to update. Luckily, the BlackBerry Curve 3G also has had the grace bestowed upon it as well. Yesterday was a busy day for the Bold and the Curve 3G. What’s included with the 18.104.22.1688? Let’s check it out…
I love it when updates start coming around. Verizon issued their update yesterday for the BlackBerry Bold 9560. Some enhancements have been made and if you have the BlackBerry Bold, it’s a great time to update it. The update is v22.214.171.1244, Platform 126.96.36.1998. What’s new?
All you BlackBerry Torch owners who have been waiting for an OS update, the time has come! The latest leaked OS for the Torch 9800 is OS 188.8.131.520. Just like any leaked OS we have to remind you that this is not an official release, therefore RIM nor us we guarentuee how it will perform [...]
For those of us who missed out on going to BlackBerry World, we’ll still have a chance to hear about the upcoming development environment and even talk to the product manager about it. If you’re thinking about developing apps for the BlackBerry PlayBook, or would like to know more about the development, don’t miss it. [...]
When we first heard the name BlackBerry 7 it was rumored to be an operating system powered by QNX, similar to the Tablet OS found on the BlackBerry PlayBook. Now it seems that RIM has decided to call their latest update BlackBerry 7. RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie confirmed it yesterday evening during their Investors conference [...]
Are you having issues getting your BlackBerry Bridge and smartphone to connect? You’re not alone. A ton of people (but not everyone) are experiencing issues getting their PlayBook to pair with their BlackBerry smartphone. Myself I’m using a BlackBerry Torch 9800 and I was only ever able to use my PlayBook bridged once for a [...]
RIM has rolled out yet another update to the BlackBerry PlayBook, new v184.108.40.2060. I was able to push it though using Scott’s method on the pc with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. I’m not sure what’s been changed, but it’s running even smoother and downloads a bit faster. If you notice anything, please leave a comment.
It’s a sign of things to come! RIM has started rolling out BlackBerry Tablet OS 220.127.116.116 for the PlayBook. The OS seems to be rolling out in stages, therefore everyone won’t be getting it at once, and killing RIM’s servers. We haven’t heard what fixes are in this update, but we are hoping for some [...]
This quite possibly could be RIM’s stupidest mistake ever, new BlackBerry PlayBook owners today may have noticed that BlackBerry Bridge is not including BBM yet. This is because RIM has not released BBM in the PlayBook’s Bridge application yet. BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) via BlackBerry Bridge is expected to launch within the coming weeks, if we [...]
The BlackBerry PlayBook is getting so close you can almost touch it. Apparently RIM snuck out a quick OS update today for the BlackBerry PlayBook. This updates the tablet to OS 18.104.22.1680 which is said to bring minor enhancements. So most likely you will be prompted to update to this version when you get your [...]
