BlackBerry Messenger beta has been released in the Beta Zone with hot fixes for the messenger. If you use BlackBerry Messenger, you can download the latest version from the Beta Zone. Now’s a great time to become a member if you haven’t already, the membership and Beta apps are free! What’s new?

The few hot fixes are as follows:

  • You couldn’t open locations in BlackBerry Maps that you sent or received - Fixed
  • The Group Updates section didn’t show a red star on new items – Fixed
