BGR posted the leaked slideshow of RIM’s 2012 roadmap, and it’s a beautiful vision to see. While the BlackBerry 10 Device, or codename London, has been delayed it’s something to look foward to. The roadmap and slideshow has some great expectations ahead. What’s in the works?
While a lot has been said about the launch of the BlackBerry 10, let us not forget that it also is in wait for the Qualcomm chip that allows better battery life on 4G, something other 4G devices are amiss. So here’s the slideshow and what we see. We left out a few slides that pertain to a given such as BBM which we’re all aware of the new and exciting features it offers and can integrate with.
We see the Curve 9220 and the Curve 9320. We also see the details on the upcoming devices. They both will have the digital compass and a 320×240 resolution, WiFi enabled, and worldwide devices.
Next we also see the gorgeous or abominable (depending on your tastes, you either love or hate it) Porsche designed BlackBerry. It’s great to see the Porsche device, BlackBerry Porsche car at CES, and the luxury of Porsche with BlackBerry. Great job to the *BerryReview team who noticed it says P’9531 instead of the P’9981 we’ve all been seeing. Could it be a CDMA version, or perhaps a slightly cheaper model?
Then there’s the BlackBerry Tablet 3G! Check out the slides and what they show. Besides the 3G capability, what I’m really glad to see is the NFC enabled portion and the 1.5 dual core processor. It may not be 4G, but it’s a step up from just WiFi enabled. With NFC, I’m sure TAG will take on quite a bit.
Then there’s another point of interest: The Wireless Media Server. I’m really interested in this and really looking forward to it. It’s going to be nice to turn your BlackBerry into a mobile media server. We all love being wireless and mobile, now it’s going to be even more for us to benefit from.
Now the BlackBerry 10 which on the roadmap is looking to have a release of October of this year. Remember, good things come to those who wait. The above slide shows the key highlights of BlackBerry 7x and BlackBerry 10. I’ve also included the Roadmap of the Qualcomm chip which shows it’s scheduled for the 2nd Quarter, and this is the chip that Apple and BlackBerry are rumored to be waiting for.
And last but not least, the beautiful white shade has come to some and coming to more. WinterBerry would be a great name for the white color. Check them out.
What do you think? Which device or feature has you waiting in anticipation? Sound off in the comments, we’d love to hear what you think.
