BlackBerry Confirms Special Pricing of the BlackBerry PlayBook For the Holidays

November 22, 2011 | By | 1 Comment

BlackBerry has confirmed on the BlackBerry website and via Twitter that the BlackBerry PlayBook will go down in price for a limited time for the holidays and has listed the participating retailers. The sale will allow the BlackBerry PlayBook a more fair advantage against the Kindle Fire Reader. Personally, with QNX and the upcoming OS 2.0 which will bring the Android OS in a player to the PlayBook, why do a Kindle? Check it out…

Remember, this sale is for a limited time only for the holidays. These prices won’t last long. Keep in mind that some sizes are in backorder status with certain vendors, and some are online pricing only while others may have in store only.

The following are the vendors participating:

And that’s not including the special Black Friday Special via Staples in which the BlackBerry PlayBook will be offered starting with the 16 GB for $199.99 in store only from 6 AM to 12 PM.

While I know the rumor mill is circulating about the BlackBerry PlayBook, if you haven’t been able to score one yet, I can’t recommend enough grabbing one this holiday sale and check it out for yourself. It’s really a fantastic device with several uses available. I don’t see it being discontinued, but instead seeing an attempt to show the consumer what they’re missing. We’re talking apps, movies, music, video chat, camcorder, camera with excellent pictures, social networking your way, and a bridge that works great with your BlackBerry device.

At this price, Christmas is right around the corner, so make your list and get ready.

Any chance this will ever be available for my Blackberry Storm? Or should I just break down and buy the Droid?
