Facebook 2.0 Beta Available In Beta Zone: Support For 5.0 And More!

If you have OS 5.0 and have been wanting to use Facebook chat, the time is now to upgrade. It’s available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. If you are enrolled in the Beta Zone, upgrade now. If you haven’t signed up yet, it’s free, check it out…

Bug fixes for 2.0.0.19 include the following:

  • The Facebook Chat connection error that some users were experiencing.
  • Instances where some users would lose their cursor while scrolling the News Feed.
  • Instances where a red ‘X’ would appear on a Chat message even though the message successfully sent.
  • And finally, we have improved the loading time of the Online Contacts list.

  • Brand-New UI
  • Facebook Chat
  • Improved News Feed
  • Drop-Down Navigation Grid
  • “Today View” of new notifications
  • New Profile UI and Profile Information Viewing
  • Ribbon View of external notifications (e.g. BBM messages)

    • You can update or sign up with the BlackBerry Beta Zone to download the latest version of Facebook here

    Just a heads up, if you have the previous version of Facebook, it’s advised to delete any prior versions before 2.0 off your BlackBerry before downloading and installing the latest version.
