The new version brings the option to preview or play the podcast while still downloading, as well Google Search for Podcasts, as well improved content presentation within categories. BlackBerry PlayBook: BlackBerry Device Is Not Required
I think it’s important to stress the fact that the BlackBerry PlayBook does not need a BlackBerry. It runs by itself, and the BlackBerry Bridge is there for enterprise and syncing some of your information, but it’s not a requirement. Al Sacco from CIO has some important points. Check it out…
RIM to debut only the BlackBerry Bold Touch at BlackBerry World 2011?!
BlackBerry World kicks off early next month and we hoped to see several new smartphones. BGR has just posted an interesting rumor that RIM will only be introducing the BlackBerry Bold Touch at BlackBerry World 2011. We presume with the announcement of the Bold Touch we will also get a great look at BlackBerry OS [...]
Update: Poynt For BlackBerry PlayBook Updates To v1.0.5
Poynt has updated it’s BlackBerry PlayBook App. I’ve been pretty excited with all the new updates coming. Poynt is one of my fave apps because it will point you in the right direction of what you’re looking for. If you have Poynt, refresh your BlackBerry App World on the BlackBerry PlayBook and install the update. [...]
Cool things to do with PlayBook: Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse
I’ve been on the hunt for cool things to do with my BlackBerry PlayBook. My BlackBerry Bridge is still not working, so I’ve been trying to amuse myself until it gets fixed. Recently I saw that Staples Canada was selling a Bluetooth keyboard designed for the PlayBook, which at the time I thought I would [...]
Update: BlackBerry PlayBook OS Updates To v1.0.1.1710
RIM has rolled out yet another update to the BlackBerry PlayBook, new v1.0.1.1710. I was able to push it though using Scott’s method on the pc with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. I’m not sure what’s been changed, but it’s running even smoother and downloads a bit faster. If you notice anything, please leave a comment.

Review: Doodle Blast, a Puzzle Game for PlayBook
For team BlackBerry, its not the quantity of apps in a store that makes a product, but rather the quality, and even though the PlayBook App World has been officially live for less than three days, we have come across quite a bit of great apps, and are even more excited about some apps that [...]
RIM adds Test Center to BlackBerry PlayBook App World
Since getting my PlayBook a couple days ago I’ve noticed the App World catalog growing quite a bit. Today RIM added a new category to the PlayBook’s App World called Test Center. This category is where we hope to find some of the beta apps like Facebook for PlayBook, Twitter for PlayBook, and maybe even [...]
iFixit Rips BlackBerry PlayBook Apart Piece by Piece
If you’ve been wondering what the BlackBerry PlayBook is really packing under the hood, then look no further. iFixit has successfully taken apart RIM’s new professional grade tablet. iFixit provides a great step-by-step process for disassembling your PlayBook but I can stress it enough, I don’t recommend you do it. The iFixit team has rated [...]
How to Force Your BlackBerry PlayBook to Update OS via Desktop Software
Since we heard RIM started rolling out an OS update (1.0.1.1796) to some PlayBook owners, I’ve been patiently waiting for it. Sadly it hasn’t come. So I started playing around with the BlackBerry Desktop Software to see if by fluke I could get the update, with no success. So then I proceeded to do a [...]
BlackBerry PlayBook OS Update 1.0.1.1696 Starts Rolling Out
It’s a sign of things to come! RIM has started rolling out BlackBerry Tablet OS 1.0.1.1696 for the PlayBook. The OS seems to be rolling out in stages, therefore everyone won’t be getting it at once, and killing RIM’s servers. We haven’t heard what fixes are in this update, but we are hoping for some [...]
