BlackBerry PlayBook Now Available in Canada & USA

Its been covered on the internet thousands of times by now, but RIM’s first tablet is now available in Canada and the United States. The BlackBerry PlayBook is available today from tons of retailers including Best Buy, Future Shop, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, Sears, and many other retailers. In case you don’t know prices range from $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for 32GB model, and $699 for the 64GB model. Over the next couple of days the BBSync team will be sharing our thoughts on the PlayBook, unboxing pictures, and some of our favorite apps. Stay tuned!

    been using one for a few weeks now. I like the device, but hate the software, or rather the fact there isn’t any, and all 3400 of the apps out there haven’t been tested, or vetted properly. Just chucking any old flash app on it just isn’t good enough. There needs to be a native SDK… The simulator is so poor for using to develop on – when you deploy your app to the device it will behave differently to the Sim :(.

    All in all they have kept failing to meet their deadlines (it was meant to be out in Nov last year) and they have released a half finished product.

    Best tablet on the market as is, and it will only get better as updates keep rolling in.
