A Closer Look At The Global Alert Network v3.0.0
I downloaded and installed the Global Alert Network from BlackBerry App World, and decided to see for myself what I though about it. It’s really neat with the ability to keep your hands free while driving but keep you posted at the same time. I included a few details of the app that will show how small an app and how important it really is.
The main features of this app are:
- Hands-free operation complies with state laws
- Reduces driver distraction
- Activates automatically when you are moving
- Personalized information - No Spam!
- Information targeted for your location
- National Traffic and Weather alerts now available
- Free download!
The app can be forgotten once downloaded and installed. I do recommend signing in to your acct from the Global Network Alert and customize your alerts and work and home information. This is what an alert comes up as:

If your phone has to be restarted, I did find it would be stuck on starting GPS, so if you click on Menu and end, click back on the Global Alert Network app and it will reload back properly.

The only thing I can say is that if you call for customer support, calls aren’t returned. But the app itself is small, yet alerts you when there are alerts. It’s easy and informative, and I did set work and home perimeters so that I can receive information that is important for my surroundings. You can grab the app for free from BlackBerry App World. I don’t live in an area that is affected by major traffic and weather alerts, however it would benefit those who live in areas where weather can be unpredictable. Amber alerts will also be included so if you like being informed as much as I do, grab your copy now.
