First Look at BlackBerry Mobile Hotspot Feature from OS 6.1

We talked about the Mobile Hotspot feature on BlackBerry smartphones a couple months ago, now the folks at N4BB have provided some leaked slides on how the mobile hotspot feature will work. As you can see its pretty much like any Android 2.2 smartphone. You will go into your manage connections, and enable the mobile hotspot feature. This will allow up to 5 Wi-Fi devices to connect to your smartphone and use its data plan, without additional charges. Now for those of you who really want this feature, you will have to wait a little bit longer, as it won’t be available until OS 6.1.

The slide above shows exactly how the Mobile Hotspot feature will work on BlackBerry smartphones. Pretty straight forward.

In other internet sharing news, Tethered modem will no longer require you to use BlackBerry Desktop Software. You will be able to control it right from your BlackBerry smartphone. To me it sounds more like the app Tether for BlackBerry.
